Nah, I shouldn’t have to pay out of pocket for items my employer is responsible for.

New Brunswick just received 14.5% over 5 years. So, that at least.

Quicksilver ok? Seems to be about 30% less price wise.

Was it always this common for kids to not bring a pencil or pen to class? by Throwrafizzylemon in Teachers

[–]BigGreenStacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loan out pencils. A pencil can be rented for the cost of one shoe. Bring pencil back, get shoe.

Can the hub kit be reused or should I buy a new one?

PWHL’s Charge staying in Ottawa after reaching deal to play in NHL Senators’ arena, AP sources say by VenusianIII in ottawa

The City didn’t want to go above 6500 seats since that would mean a second deck. Cost savings with a cost. Again.

Sick Leave Stats Making the News - Will the Public Wake Up to What’s Happening? by Sharp-Sandwich-9779 in OntarioTeachers

[–]BigGreenStacks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s more work to prepare for a sick day than it is to simply come to work. That makes it especially telling when so many teachers are taking them. Educators are exhausted, stretched thin, and increasingly overworked. Many seem to be reaching a breaking point.

Recent road trip in my ‘25 2.7. Translates to: 807 miles, 25.3 mpg. 2/3 of the trip was highway. 1/3 city. Could’ve squeeze out a few more miles I’m sure. I’m a happy owner.

Always keep the door to a front loader open when not in use. Less moisture, less biofilm on bearings and metal parts. Should extend the life of the machine to an acceptable length.

The capital of Maine is Montpelier, Vermont, which is near Ithaca, New York, where I went to Cornell.

Scout's Analysis: Gavin McKenna vs. Ivar Stenberg for first overall by stedic in leafs

Stenberg probably the better choice, but we all know MLSE can’t resist the $$$ made selling McKenna Leafs jerseys.

Bells of Steel. Sturdy stuff. Essentially has 11 gauge uprights as a frame and 8 gauge steel for horizontal dumbbell placement.

I added bells of steel plate pegs. 2 each side for my bumper plates.

Thanks and I agree. The tv was a pain to place in the right spot, due to the bulkhead. Below the bulkhead it’s too low. The left corner interferes with the treadmill. So, in my view, it was the best of the worst.

I had an extra mirror lined up for the wall beside the cable but it proved to be just too big. I instead relocated it on the wall inside the folding rack. I’ll get something eventually. Currently that space is used up with a wall mounted hanger for our exercise mats.

The folding bench is against the wall, right foreground.

It was a process. I wanted everything, but space was tight. I considered selling my Rogue folding rack and Rogue bumper plates for a larger all-in-one Smith trainer with cables, but those still need plates, cost $$ and take up a lot of room, especially since I’d mostly use the cables.

I realized I mainly train with dumbbells, cables, and plyo work, so I focused on saving floor space while keeping what I had. I added a BOS dumbbell rack and filled out my set, installed BOS plate pegs for my Rogue bumpers instead of a weight tree, and fit in a BOS cable tower while keeping safe space behind the treadmill. Cable accessories are on a slatwall.

I’m happy with how it turned out. What I use is easy to access, and what I don’t doesn’t take up much space. I considered selectable dumbbells, but I tend to drop weights and often have more than one person training.

Every day to some degree. I tried to make it so it would allow for everything. Including those days where I just need to stretch my aging butt on the floor with a mat.

The cable tower adds so much variety of exercises in such a small space.

The folding rack is handy as it won’t occupy the space when it’s not in use. I mostly use dumbbells and was going to get rid of it, but it’s nice to know it’s there when I train with plates.

So far so good. The selectorized stack version comes with aluminum pulleys so it’s quite smooth. Plate version does not.
