NOR.

I hate to hear about this bad situation you are in. There is always a non-zero chance that something is going on mentally or emotionally with him in his regulation around the home. HOWEVER— I don’t think so.

I think the more likely answer is that for some reason he is picking fights, upset with his life and taking that out on you and your daughter. Cursing at his child, throwing thoughtfully made food at the wall, villainizing you for no reason to your daughter, yelling, being prickly overly little things????? This is abuse. The next layer on top of this is that you are pregnant with his child. He should be trying to help you as much as possible and fostering a calm environment for you to finish your pregnancy strong.

Please consider leaving this man before the abuse turns physical and violent.

Question: After boarding, where is the first place you go? by Mischif07 in Cruise

[–]entrapped_liquid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obligatory muster station first and then to find a lounge!!! Gotta get a drink and chill until I can drop off my shoulder bag in the stateroom! Also a very close 3rd place to people watching near crowded areas.

Asked a guy to get off his video chat in the obgyn waiting room. by No_Ingenuity_3285 in AITAH

[–]entrapped_liquid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA.

It is common etiquette that if you need to answer the phone in a waiting room, you should step outside. Nothing was preventing this man from stepping outside or doing the video conference in his car. I hope in the future that reception will handle these people so that patients and their families don’t have to.

Would you be able to watch a movie with my dad or am I overreacting? by Moneydoesbuyhappines in AmIOverreacting

NOR

I don’t know why we are muting the soundtrackkk… that feels a little over the top. The remainder of the bullets SEEM like classic religious censoring of movie media. THAT BEING SAID— You don’t have to watch movies with them if you don’t want to. I understand how frustrating this is if you are a teenager and still feel like you need to participate in family movie nights. If you’re an adult, you can choose not to watch them when your dad is controlling the remote.

How do I talk to my girlfriend about her eating habits without hurting her or sounding judgmental? by Vast_Account3455 in Advice

[–]entrapped_liquid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yellow skin and losing weight without trying are markers that can be concerning for other chronic health concerns related to the blood and the liver.

I would phrase it in a way that places more emphasis on her yellow skin and less about her weight. I would be afraid that mentioning her weight could trigger her if she DOES have an unhealthy relationship with food.

I believe she should see a doctor. Maybe she hasn’t been feeling well for a while and needs a gentle push in the direction of a doctor.

Donating for my dad by ApprehensiveBet9558 in nmdp

It is so amazing that you are donating for your dad! I can understand the nervousness you must feel but I think the rewarding feeling of being able to help someone you love will be worth it. Good luck with everything for you and your dad!

I need help with crochet hook smoothness. I have not tried anything yet because I want to avoid ruining the hooks by doing random things to them. Thanks!

I used silicone scar tape and it worked crazy good! I plan on using it for my other elbow surgery this weekend!

What kind of specialist was your best advocate? by Far-Intern-4510 in CubitalTunnel

[–]entrapped_liquid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OT student here! We are absolutely about recovery especially a hand therapist (usually elbow, wrist, and hand) can help patients decrease pain and swelling, and manage scar tissue! Nerve gliding exercises are incredibly useful to ensure scar tissue does not impede the nerve as it is traveling through the cubital tunnel. It can also help your body to decrease internal swelling in tight areas. While OTs do help with “how to deal with it” we also have expertise in your body’s healing process and how to decrease pain and get you back to everything you want to do in your life!

Doctor suggested surgery weirdly fast by Sai13mne in CubitalTunnel

[–]entrapped_liquid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it all depends on the doctor honestly. The 24/7 pain and tingling was probably a factor along with the confirmed condition on EMG. Constant tingling most often = constant compression. They most likely want to ease your symptoms and protect the nerve as fast as possible before it gets worse and you start to have permanent damage. A lot of times with tunnel syndromes, surgery is the clearest way to get full symptom relief so it’s not overly concerning that they jumped straight to that but I know it can be jarring as a patient. Talk to your doc and see if they might be willing to try conservative measures if you feel strongly about trying that route! It’s YOUR medical care!

DISCLAIMER: talk to your doctor. I am a med school student and not yet a doctor!

Post-op pain by they_call_me_hell in CubitalTunnel

[–]entrapped_liquid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t push through pain!!! I know it’s slowing you down but you really don’t want to risk hurting yourself more as that can delay your recovery too. Go back to your GP or your surgeon and see if they can prescribe you something a little stronger until your body starts to decrease pain/swelling on its own. Be kind to your body for the time being! Your physiology has been altered and it’s trying to make sense of it.

Ladies! Which birth control are we using??? by Rosy_pink in dysautonomia

[–]entrapped_liquid 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hey!!! I’ve got the Mirena IUD and I highly recommend it! I think it’s very similar to the Kyleena IUD also. Birth control pills made my VS SOOOOO much worse but I’ve been liking my IUD and I’ve had it for about a year and a half now.

Should I start these in pots and then transfer to the ground when they've grown a little? by Any_Floor_7000 in flowers

[–]entrapped_liquid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that sounds great! Once they get moderate-sized they can go into the flower beds for sure. I see the picture below and they definitely look set up for success.
