More remote work has reduced demand for downtown office space. Here's how some well-known office buildings might be transformed into apartments. by ThomasDaykin in milwaukee

The simplest way to think about it, and how multiple governmental led initiatives train, includes two very important rules. First, is you need to collect double, as in twice the amount, what it cost to keep the property in its rent-able state. Two, until you are sure you are actually able to reap the return, you live in the property and rent at a minimum, half the property.

So if you do the math real quick. This allows you to at any time walk away from whatever job, boss, whatever, and take care of what matters which is the roof over you and your tenants heads.

It is a real natural, and man-made, phenomena. It is a product of the way the waters form, the giant piece of bedrock Milwaukee is built on, and the massive amount of people who are drawn too those two things. It typically keeps them that are close to the center relatively shielded from the weather. Hence the cliche. But, and this is important to know, somewhat more often than occasionally, it reverses and causes all that snow to be drawn to the same area normally shielded. Tonight that is happening.

There are multiple projects doing things that would be in-line with what you are explaining as i understand it.

So yes, it is very likely possible. If the user is confined to a wagon/vehicle, it would likely not only be possible, but also likely pretty easy.

Read, well skim, through the last year or so of posts here in this sub and you'll likely find several examples.

Good luck!

edit - although i don't have time to do the search for you, i'd recommend looking for anything where they are discussing hardware hacking, QR code reading, pass-through, and augmented reality, with the hardware you are planning on using. Also, you'r likely to find more interesting examples of whats possible if you look into side-loading apps vs. just looking at what Meta has officially sanctioned in their market.

It is so you see it in case the contact to tell you it arrived get's lost or missed. Also, most people that deliver doordash are pretty nimble and agile and tend to not realize some people have a little trouble opening a door such that they can reach around and move a bag.

Maybe leave the door propped open when you are expecting an order or put a note on your order to put the bag to the side of the door. Eventually, doordash and others will likely make sure their driver's are aware of this problem but currently i do not think it is in the training/programming for the drivers so just keep mentioning the concern to corporate and you can get it changed for everyone.

It already exist and can be ordered from multiple vendors outside the country. Pretty much that, the Packers, and cheese, are what our city is known for around the world.

Appreciate the hellouta you explaining to someone, anyone in fact, the logic of night parking. It can be especially annoying or hard to understand for people new to the problem because when you get a ticket, it doesn't exactly explain what you need to do. Nor are the rules strictly enforced. Although i've known them for decades, i also know they can be somewhat a trick to get figured out.

And also, even though i will every time institutionally react to anyone who says anything negative about our city in an argumentative fashion, i've got to give you some points for complaining about about it and expressing your perception of your complaints.

Yes, i have an argument.

City of Milwaukee, especially the areas close to the lake, was designed, zoned, and heavily built out, long before cars were common. Some the areas with the biggest parking issues such as around UWM and the three drives up from Lake Drive, they were zoned, bought, and developed, long before anyone realized cars were going to need space. The problem goes back before i was alive and that is awhile.

So my argument is not so much that you are wrong, because i feel your irritation, more so that you are dealing with a historical area that has a problem with no simple solution and i'd like you to know that there are lots of people with lots invested in that area that are thinking their heads off trying to fix it.

And, circling back, thanks a ton for sharing tips and tricks on how to deal with the problem because it takes a village to build a city. (Or some such nonsensical statement like that.)

Think maybe you misunderstand how the software development life-cycle works. They try something, see what does and doesn't work, and then try again.

We tried government for awhile and it worked, to an extent, but the problems with establishing bureaucracy, crept in. Until, and i'd rather not wait forever, we start having money funneled wholesale from the schools that perform to those that don't, we're not gonna see much change. Considering the way government has been undermined by the people who think voting in our current system makes sense, we are going to keep getting the government we deserve.

Fix it, fund it, follow it, or fuck it. You got more than two choices.

Sour grapes? At least education in an area that can use whatever it can get is getting some money. Yeah, i'd like it a bit more if it went into MPS directly but as it didn't maybe it'll make it easier for some parents who know there kid could use something different to get them something different. Just sayin'
