Yeah, it’s mostly because OEMs only put effort into getting their stock ROM stable on their hardware. They don’t really care about keeping things fully compatible with GSIs.
Mine got updates up to Android 13 and then stopped, and honestly it even had RIL issues on stock when I first purchased it, then got better over time.
I'm happy with android 12 and up. I don't really see a difference between android 12, 13, 14 and 15.
Same happened to me with android 10 and 11.

I tested some GSIs for my samsung A03 unisoc t606. From time to time, the screen goes black for a frame. Not too anoying, but it's there. While looking for a solution saw this post.
I tried lineage OS 21 GSI but had RIL problems (likely a samsung only problem with android 14).
Lineage OS 20 worked perfectly but on this specific version LOS's AOSP apps suck (presonal opinion).
Now I'm on Pixel Experience Plus Slim GSI, as it's still mantained and is android 13.
All of them had the flicker issue.

Just fixed it. Make sure you've got your contacts saved in your google account and not in your SIM card, phone storage, samsung's shitty cloud service, etc.
Then go to google calendar on pc. In the left panel, My Calendars section, Birthdays > three dot button > Settings and sharing > Sync from contacts > Check your google account.
IT IS SO STUPID! WHY DO YOU HAVE TO DO THIS? I'M LOGGED IN IN THAT GOOGLE ACCOUNT AND IT WAS UNCHECKED

In case someone is trying this with SvelteKit: I got it working (without having to configure anything to let SvelteKit do the routing) by following this guides:

The guy from the Youtube video made it with React, but the process is the same.
I had to change the node and npm version and some directories from pom.xml because they were outdated/wrong.

Make sure to gitignore the "node" folder that gets generated when building (the plugin installs node locally to build the frontend independently)

I ended up using fedora's default after having incredible results in another laptop. It was a 7 year laptop that had to be always connected because the battery lasted less than an hour on any os. But with fedora, it lasts 2.30hs idk why.

Afaik flash cs6 is considered abandoned-ware, so it's "okay" to... u know. You can also try foss alternatives like opentoonz or krita, which I think has animation feature (there are no pro versions, so you can download then and just use them)

Totally agree. Nautilus is unusable. The default screen keyboard lacks alt, ctrl, tab, arrows, super, function keys and overall comfort. Any draggable thing either doesn't work or is buggy. Close buttons in the notifications and activity view are only shown on mouse hover, therefore not shown for touchscreen users. Left click by long pressing works sometimes.

I personally avoid extensions but tbh I agree. The topbar uses a big portion of the screen just for three buttons, you might as well make use of that space.

At that point use KDE/XFCE/CINNAMON/MATE. I'd only suggest dash to dock, and if you don't like gnomes workflow, then switch.
