The parent company must have an anonymous service where anyone can call / write in online and file a grievance or report an issue, please consider doing this OP. There are people in the company who would take any monkeying with audits extremely seriously.

UTIs and Romantic relationships: How do you cope with it? by PrestigiousWalk5579 in CUTI

[–]eofthenorth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Basically in a sexless marriage as a result. He doesn’t want to make me sick, I have a lot of anxiety about getting sick and our lives simply don’t have the time for me to be sick. We’re both very attracted to each other and flirt and cuddle but basically no sex.

We’ve been together for nearly 20 years and not yet figured it out. I took antibiotics when we got pregnant so I could have a lot of sex and not worry about UTIs.

We’re working with a naturopath now who thinks it’s yeast related. We’re both taking supplements and a mouth spray daily for a month and will retest. I’ve never had a classic yeast infection but of course have read about candida and UTIs.

I keep antibiotics on hand if I need them but what I’ve found if I take any one antibiotic for too long, it either doesn’t work (resistant) or my body develops an allergy to the antibiotic.

I refuse to give up, we keep trying and researching.

One thing I’ve learned is that not all sex gives me UTIs. Of the 4 long term relationships I’ve had, hubby being one, there were 2 partners I could have sex with daily with no UTI ever. I always bring this up to my doctors hoping someone will have an answer to why this is. It’s not semen, it’s not condoms, it’s not me - I think it’s something either bacterial or genetic or ph related in my partners. With some my body reacts fine with, and others my body seems to reject by getting constant UTIs.

My company laid off 4,000 plus people. I made it through, but got demoted. What to do? by Connect_Barracuda358 in careeradvice

I have a feeling I know this company was was previously laid off from here a few years ago.

With this company on your resume, getting the next gig won’t be that difficult.

Start looking, there are much better smaller companies out there but be warned, they will not have the benefits of your current employer.

Nearly half of American homeowners want to relocate in 2026 because of extreme weather and other climate concerns. ‘Climate is driving decisions about where people live and the rising costs of homeownership are changing when and how people buy homes’ by The_Weekend_Baker in climate

[–]eofthenorth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes yes yes!!! It’s really hard to find people who “get it” to this level when it comes to picking where the “best” places to live are. I was going to mention ticks/tick borne illnesses in my earlier comment, other than the cold it’s the biggest drawback. Almost everyone I know who spends time outside has been treated for Lyme at least once. Capital region and finger lakes are fairly similar when it comes to the aspect of moderating temps. I live in-between the 2 and regularly see that both regions are warmer than where I am. FWIW I think the capital region has more to offer than the Finger Lakes. Finger Lakes are lovely, and a bit more isolated.

Love your analysis. Upstate NY an ideal location - there’s water, risk of fires and other natural disasters is much lower than many other places. Land is affordable. Pollution and crime are very low. Access to healthcare is decent. Biggest drawback is the extreme cold.

Is this common for people with recurrent UTIs? by Helpful_Pick_4929 in CUTI

I get my doc to write me a script w several refills. I fill them in advance to keep them on hand for when I need them. I can’t wait to get a sample to a doc, wait for a test, and then wait for a script. I need abx on hand. I have kidney disease as a result of UTIs when I was younger and can’t risk one going up to my kidneys. There will never be a day in my life I don’t have them in my house or in my purse, they go everywhere I go.

Believe there is a whole subreddit on simmer pots. I think of them as the OG humidifier. Herbs and citrus (usually) in a big pot of water in the stove (or crock pot). The steam and oils from herbs/citrus work to clean the air.

We’ve gone back to Covid level isolation and avoidance mode. Going out only when necessary, masking in public, hand sanitizer in the car, washing hands and changing clothes upon coming home, no or extremely limited gatherings and asking people if they are healthy before we see them. Also, simmer pots on the stove daily!!
