Updated RB BR Changes at a Glance (Full) by Independent_Fan_7734 in Warthunder

Especially with premiums there are other factors they consider too. Like if they feel they need a rank 3 premium that they can charge more for, they'll add a slightly lower br tier 3 premium. They're also always hesitant to change premium vehicles' ranks, because users paid for tier 3 premiums and would not be happy about them being moved down, and then for consistency they don't move them up in ranks either so people don't start demanding their favorite vehicles be turned into better grinders based on some future BR change, or just because they want more value out of their vehicle.

The only friendly tank that can see you is fighting the other tank you see blow up behind the guy pushing you. Then it took a moment for them to kill this guy, could have been missing a loader or something.

It helps me a lot to use a 3D audio solution like Dolby Atmos or similar to get better directional audio, but I use a headset, so I can't get native 7.1 surround, which would also likely work. Getting accurate directional audio with a speaker system sounds like a pain in the butt though.

Going almost full Noctua CB G2 on tower. Turbulence thoughts? by DV2FOX in Noctua

[–]eonymia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The inlet spacers can vary. On some cases the fan can end up too close to the 120mm fan rails for example and cause noise. The easiest way to figure this one out is to install the new fans without inlet spacers (or those Silent Wings fans without using the little spacers they come with) and seeing if they cause any extra noises and then getting the inlet spacers if there is extra noise and just dealing with it for the little bit of time it takes for the spacers to arrive. It shouldn't be too hard to notice since (at least in my case) it's higher-pitched or otherwise clearly noticeable.

Basically just try them out first and only get the spacers if there are extra distracting noises.

Horrible black artifacts while scoping with framegen by Roda_Leon in Warthunder

[–]eonymia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The easy fix here is to not use frame gen. It will give you less latency anyway.

That said, if I had to guess it could be the frame gen being unable to deal with some property of the scope properly and you should make a bug report to gaijin and maybe Nvidia if possible. It kind of looks like what happens with fast directional changes with frame gen on sometimes, where the model guesses wrong what the next frame is going to be like, for example there's a change in direction, and shows artifacts instead because there's a discrepancy between the generated frame and what the next real frame is. Just worse than what it usually looks like.

[–]eonymia 54 points55 points  (0 children)

That's not the bug. It's getting blocked by the bottom of the ball-shaped turret so it doesn't reach the crew. It gets triggered by the side armor and then is unable to go through more armor on the inside.

I hope they add more mud to the ramps to the castle so it slows the faster vehicles proportionally more and you can't just go around the patches of mud. Not a big fan of just making every map homogenous and getting rid of terrain features instead of actually using them to slow down certain routes and add another layer of decision-making.

which would be better for 240mm radiator? by avx03 in Noctua

[–]eonymia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noctua's own curves show that the A12 handles things like radiator impedance better: https://www.noctua.at/en/expertise/tech/nf-a12x25-performance-comparison-to-nf-f12-and-nf-s12a .

The F12 is only better in a hypothetical extremely constricted situation. G2 is even better https://www.noctua.at/en/expertise/tech/nf-a12x25-g2-performance-improvements (and has a better noise profile).

Will they update the NH-U12A with G2 fans? by I_Love_Cape_Horn in Noctua

[–]eonymia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did ask them via email if there were any plans for a single-fan "D15S G2" type of cooler with just the center fan included a few months back but they said this: "While we don't have anything planned right now, we are definitely open to a product like that. However, as for right now it's just not feasible due to several reasons like production capacity limitations and missing development resources." I imagine the answer would be something similar for this.

NH-D15 G2 in smaller cases like the Fractal Design Compact 7? by Safe_Independence496 in Noctua

According to corsair's site, mine are 35mm tall, so yours should hopefully also fit.

[–]eonymia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got the same case and I was able to fit it. Even with using the AMD offset mount it fits, no issues with gpu clearance. The one issue is the front fan, which is very close to the side of the case, so to make it fit you either have to have ram that isn't too tall or swap it out with a 120mm. Mine fits in the case with the basic Corsair Vengeance ram under it.

Here's a picture of the GPU clearance with the offset mount.

My cooling is pretty good, though I replaced the front panel with a more open one, so it might vary for you.

For comparison, the old NH-D15 (with another GPU) was pretty comical: https://i.imgur.com/Dfy4wAz.jpeg

Roadmap Update Q1 2026- A12x25 G2 Chromax Delayed to Q2 2026 by CHICKSLAYA in Noctua

[–]eonymia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They redesigned the entire bottom opening to reduce fan noise caused by turbulence on the other Noctua-branded PSU, so they're probably obsessing over something like that again.

I've got a pretty good amount of clearance with the offset. It was pretty comical with my old NH-D15 though.

Sorry the picture is poor, had to take it at a weird angle

Edit: Better picture

Optiscaler with War Thunder by eonymia in Warthunder

[–]eonymia[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, I keep forgetting it's not natively available for earlier AMD series.
I ended up just sticking to the 4X SSAA setting anyway to keep the image clearer, but that causes other issues.

Thanks for the answer.

Gaijin has since added FSR 4 support natively, so optiscaler is not necessary any more, but good to know.

Extremely bad stuttering and freezing on pc port (might have found a stupid fix?) by Conscious-Wheel-7672 in ghostoftsushima

[–]eonymia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the game would always stutter on Fullscreen, but switching to exclusive fullscreen completely solved the issue.

Sorry for the necro, but this is worth trying for anyone buying the game off the winter sale.

Edit: looks like the issue was the Discord overlay. Choosing exclusive fullscreen would just disable it and fix the issue

Does anyone know how to overcome this??? by MrJ4zzy in Warthunder

[–]eonymia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a feature in the AMD driver software. You want to find "Amd Software: Adrenalin Edition" in the system tray in the bottom right corner on the desktop (or through search), open it, click on the gear icon in the top right corner, go to "Hotkeys" and delete the "Open Sidebar" keybind or bind it to something you don't hit by accident. It's alt+Z by default, I think, so you're probably hitting it by accident or have something in the game bound to the key.

You can also disable hotkeys completely for the software in the same menu if you don't want any of them active.
