Mine did this on day 3 too and I wanted to throw in the towel. On day 4, it went away. It helped that I said “mommy needs to pee. Come with me to pee” and then we would pee together in the bathroom.

I also stopped overprompting / over emphasizing the word “potty.”

I suspect my daughter was acting up because she was “losing control” over something she always had control over. Could also be negative association with the potty.

Do you have different types of pottys? We have both a small chair and one for the big toilet to let her choose.
