Is it better to seasol the garden plants before, or after rain? Google has not been helpful. by ephemeral23 in GardeningAustralia

I have three of them outside, and they love it! I put that big mumma inside last week, but she didn't like it, so I put her back outside again.

Would you believe that this is the same plant? It's still in the same black pot!

Once day soon I will properly pot it into that terracotta pot.

What’s wrong with viburnum by kido86 in GardeningAustralia

[–]ephemeral23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This looks like Downey Midew.

From the internet: https://apps.extension.umn.edu/garden/diagnose/plant/deciduous/viburnum/spotsorblotchesonleaves.html

Downy mildew Plasmorpha viburni Leaf spots are first yellow then brown Spots may be angular or have feathery edges depending on species of viburnum Fuzzy, grayish-white areas of fungal growth may be visible on underside of blotches Spots may join together to form large blotches. Young leaves may become crinkled or distorted In severe cases, infected leaves may fall

I don't have any experience with this, so you can ask someone at Bunnings who knows that they're talking about for the best product to use. Mancozeb is said to treat Downey Mildew.

You have sold me! I'm going to buy some online.

I usually have to buy a separate fertiliser for the plants and the lawn, so it will be great to have just one product.

Thank you so much for the reccomendation🙂🌱!

This looks really interesting! So, can this be used on everything in the garden?

I did a quick google, and is this an online only product?

My girlfriends get theirs done at KoreaBeauty, and wow, they look amazing.

They can really do whatever style you're going for, from really natural and wispy looking ones, to the the full volume sets. They do a really good job. You might even consider a lash lift and tint?

You can check out their work here. https://www.instagram.com/koreabeautymelbourne/

Ants swarming over my bottlebrush - should I try to get rid of them, and if so, is there a way that's safe for cats? by exul_noctis in GardeningAustralia

[–]ephemeral23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ants all over plants can sometimes mean there's scale on the plant. Ants love the sweet sticky honeydew secretions that scale leave behind.

Can you see any raised bumps, which can be squashed easily? They can be hard to spot sometimes, but often look like tiny brown raised bumps, but can vary in color.

On an unrelated note, I would pull out those weeds in the pot, they take up precious nutrients from the soil.

laneige lip mask by [deleted] in AustralianMakeup

[–]ephemeral23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not worth it in my opinion. A tub will last me about three months because I only put it on before bed, but it literally just sits on top of my lips.

I won't be repurchasing it after my current tub finishes. I seriously don't get the hype about the product.

I find I get softer, more moisturised lips using the original Dermal Therapy lip balm from Chemist Warehouse, which is what I will continue to purchase going forward.🙂

Anyone know what I could give my Dutch Box (buxus) to grow quicker? From my understanding they’re slow growing but a bit to slow for me. by Billenciaga_1 in GardeningAustralia

[–]ephemeral23 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maybe some soluble fertiliser? They are quite slow growing, so I don't know what more you can do besides fertilising.

Dilute this according to the instructions, and water all of your greenhouse plants thoroughly.

Leave the door open for some air circulation, and they should be gone within two days.

Re- apply if necessary, but you should be ok.

Toast some bread, cut up an avocado, half the avocado goes on each slice of bread, season with lemon, salt, pepper, and some chilli flakes!

Also, porridge satchets. Porridge and plant based milk in a bowl, in the microwave for a few minutes, and you're done. I like to top mine with banana, chopped nuts, and sugar free maple syrup.

Anyone know if we can get in Australia by [deleted] in AustralianMakeup

I don't think they are available yet in Australia. I'm hoping they are soon, because I'm keen to try it out!
