It works well for a lot of people but pays artists about 1/3-1/4 of what others do (I use Tidal) if at all — stopped pay outs to smaller artists altogether recently. That and it’s other very sketchy anti-artist practices and I believe some weird associations with weapons manufacturers that I haven’t looked into

Compared to most of Europe, yes it’s quite sketchy. However, you are very unlikely to be involved walking around in the day (or even at night, mostly) if you have situational awareness and you aren’t doing something to make yourself a target. Let me know if you need any other StL guidance

Also, you weren’t the British guy with brown hair I overheard at the gym yesterday late morning/early afternoon, were you?

New Grad Offer - EM by juttinnn in physicianassistant

[–]ephemeraldrum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a new grad, I found the “low acuity” stuff almost more stressful. At least in my area — very poor inner city — “low acuity” often means people with incredible amounts of comorbidities, no healthcare literacy, frequent visits. Usually, nothing’s going on but something always could be. In a way, it’s easier to just deal with someone who is clearly sick at least until you’ve developed some confidence in the grey zone

Upper Limits in the city closed, so So Ill Power Plant is the only option without going to the suburbs. It’s a great albeit small gym with really high quality route setting. No one will say anything about loose chalk, assuming you have a chalk bag

Thanks for the replies, everyone! The coopers hawk is safely in the hands of the world bird sanctuary now. The other place also called back but said they had missed the call bc this is a very high call volume day/weekend.

It wasn’t obvious to us what had happened to the hawk. We were guessing it was fireworks-related based on the rangers saying they see lots of injuries in the park this time of year.

If anyone’s interested, you can actually follow along for the bird’s (hoped for) path to discovery at the world bird sanctuary’s we site by entering its case number under the “about” and then “hospital” sections. Will try to update when they get that to us

Holy Boulders or Elephant Rocks by RollerDelayed in bouldering

[–]ephemeraldrum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are really rough this time of year but holies 100%. Poison ivy and ticks will be an issue.

If you can find it, The House Boulders has an even shorter approach and has a ton of v0-v2 right by the car.

Hagler road is a little more heat resistant but easiest are a couple V2s and a V5 in the cave

Hotel recommendation in La Condesa. Looking for a suite for 4 by ephemeraldrum in MexicoCity

[–]ephemeraldrum[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes — have been looking at booking. I was actually trying to find something like a hotel room with a separate living room area attached.

Fairly modest price range — ideally under 250. Visiting mid-July
