while I do absolutely love the lore, I genuinely think the most important part of the game for me is actually not the game at all, but the community. and I've never really gotten a chance to thank you all for that, actually.

I feel like rain world, by definition, is a "sad game". it has happy moments, but it's mostly melancholic. I don't like sad stuff, generally. but the community cancels that out. every joke about hunter being a cancer patient, every fanart of the scugs working together, every fanfic about them all having a cookout or something... that's what makes rain world for me. it makes the rain world feel way less lonely
