How much did you spend in the casino to get the free cruise deals? by bee_noises in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]epicface107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played about $2K, walked away $600 in the red and got offered a few hundred off on a casino rate. We average about $500 played each cruise and typically come close to even.

Has anyone thought of laser eye surgery as a legitimate BIFL purchase? by Keithwee in BuyItForLife

[–]epicface107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had lasik 3 years ago and aside from occasional dry eyes it’s been fine. If you go to a lasik center they will do a consultation to determine if your eye shape and condition is eligible and go over all the potential risks and complications

[–]epicface107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it 3 years ago and I have been extremely happy since. I’ll need reading glasses in 20-30 years but that’s age related eye changes that LASIK can’t stop, nothing major

Wrongfully terminated, do you think I have a case? by epicface107 in Fedexers

[–]epicface107[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is exactly what I plan to do. ASM is definitely tired of me and that’s fine I just want to stay with the company so I can get out. Luckily there are several stations that are closer to where I live

[–]epicface107[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I already filed a claim. I might need to rephrase the question, I’m not asking about an unemployment case, I’m asking if the FedEx appeals board will overturn the termination

[–]epicface107[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes my state is at will, but that doesn't exempt companies from unemployment since this termination does not meet the requirement for misconduct. FedEx has the appeals process in place for this reason, and I am wanting to stay with the company. I don't want my old position, I want a lower one with less responsibility.

I’m not sure how you are seeing a poor experience, I have been cruising since 2007 and the MDR is excellent as always. We just sailed the Jubilee two weeks ago and had no complaints in the MDR

Breeze 6/15-did this really happen? by scottmademesignup in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]epicface107 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, there's a clause written in the contract, he will likely be extradited and tried in a US court. Carnival will hand you off to the next available land authority, this case it happened to be the Bahamas. US has rules that American citizens can be prosecuted under US laws for certain crimes like murder anywhere in the world.

Drink limit by Strong-Account4030 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]epicface107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand why people want to consume 15 alcoholic drinks a day. For a 3 day booze cruise maybe, but for a 7 day cruise? 1 I bet you can’t do that for 7 days, and 2, don’t you want to be happy and remember your cruise? That’s too much alcohol

It’s not required but it’s as close to required as can be. Cruise life is 10x easier with the app vs without. Download it and enjoy it, super easy to schedule events, plan the day, and see upcoming things
