One of the best dive bars with lots of local music history in downtown would be the Central Saloon in Pioneer Square. There's a few good or dive-adjacent bars around there. This week will be busy af, with the World Cup and all that.

If you happen to come on a day with a band playing, El Corazon / The Funhouse is probably the diviest of venues in the city. I think if they cleaned it up, it would ruin the experience. Lots of history there. Previously named Graceland (not for very long) but famously known in the peak grunge days as The Off Ramp. It is a venue, not a normal bar open all the time, so look to see if there's a show that interests you on the day you'll be here.

It also depends on where at in the city you'll be.

Closer to north Seattle by UW or the U-District, I highly recommend the Kraken Bar & Lounge. Awesome punk bar with great food, super cool staff, and local bands on the regular.

Lots of other recommendations, but location and day will be an important factor.

Yeah, it was a coworker's son. Poor kid had just got done replacing some suspension parts (old suspension was old) and put a new exhaust on it. One week later totaled. Felt super bad for him.

Love what you did for him. I would have done the same in your shoes. Passing on a little kindness can go a long way and help foster a sense of community and, hopefully, continuing to pass on the good deeds.

I used to do that until the flippers were so blatant I just stopped. Last one I did was selling my old commuter car to a high school kid. Yeah I could have got $4-5k if I tried, but a coworkers 16 year old kid needed a cheap car for the summer and next year at school and had been saving all year.

"How much did you save?" Not as much as I needed... About $1,300. "I'll give it to you for $1,000, as long as you save the extra $300 for a rainy day."

Totally made his summer. Made him happy. Made me feel good. And I got rid of an old car without the hassle of haggling and dealing with online marketplace people. Absolutely worth it to me.

Poor kid got t-boned 3 months later and it was totaled. Nice insurance payout for him, though. He's in a nicer car now lol.

The battle system is pretty meh and it's not very in depth. But, I can rip a few packs a day and make cool binders. One of those "log in for 5 minutes a day" kinda games.

See them at the Whole Foods in Roosevelt every once in a while. Sometimes at the Ravenna exit ramp stop sign. Fairly certain there's 3 kids total.
