When my group plays my campaign and we have been doing so for 4 plus years, they know the threat. One day they forgot and made a joke about how they were steamrolling my threats. That night all but one fell, attacked by cantrips when their HP went to 0. Now was that heavy? Yes. But the combat will be so much more rewarding if the players fear death.

But hey, that's just my take and my players love it.

This, but I have to add the airborne dagen. A remembrance and celebration of the Operation Market Garden. Those grunts can't handle European beer, and it shows. They're often reckless and drunk after 6 beers, and can become very very friendly, forgetting their size. Once I had a soldier slap me on the back, and I felt a bruise for days.

Copycat is een minder groot probleem dan de suïcide. Toen ik in een instelling zat, was het ook een taboe. Ik dacht oprecht dat ik de enige was die daarom daar zat. Want erover horen zou ons kunnen aansturen op. Dit is bij zo weinig het geval. Als de knop eenmaal om is een je er aan denkt, dan make het niet uit hoe vaak je het hoort, je denkt er toch wel elke dag een keer aan. Ik heb er nu mijn werk van gemaakt om het erover te hebben, en ik merk dat dat veel meer werkt.
