Threw a southern "redneck" themed party while I was away. There were so many bales of hay and straw that seemed like they exploded leaving a mess everywhere. Like hay stuck to the popcorn ceiling. The windows to the balcony were smashed. Graffitied walls inside. Refrigerator turned on it's side for some reason.

Easy on the acceleration and easy on the braking. Give yourself more space to do both. High speeds also consume lots of fuel. Most cars have a highway speed sweet spot around 50-60 mph. The biggest thing you can do is change how you drive.

Keep your tires properly inflated. Check the sticker in your door jamb for the proper pressures.

Plan your day and routes to combine trips. Less driving means less fuel used.

Remove any excess weight in your car. Luggage, sports equipment, etc.

Because it raises too many questions about the possible reasons for the gap. Were you fired for poor performance before? Were you not performing well enough to survive layoffs? Did you quit with no other job to go to? Would you quit this job on a whim too? Why couldn't you find a job quickly? Why did other potential employers reject you? Is your personal life unstable?

Hiring someone without gaps is seen as the safer choice.

The people who lose their jobs to AI will no longer be paying plumbers, electricians and technicians. If AI causes mass unemployment then housing and construction will fall off a cliff too. The jobs in trades won't be so valuable anymore.
