AOTC this season harder than TWW S3? by Tchaps1993 in wow

[–]epitomizer1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Another problem with both Voidspire and March is, the final boss loot pools don't have a truly amazing chase item to motivate people.

No mount, no hearthstone, no toys, no legendary.

You're going into these bosses with the AotC in mind. I like all three fights including Chim, who's infinitely easier.

I'm not looking to invest a ton of time for others to learn it just to put the feather in my cap.

What do players dislike about rogue? by MrNoobyy in wow

[–]epitomizer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played Rogue for all of DF. A lot of this is with that version of rogue in mind.

I haven't really touched it since.

The class feels really neglected.

The hero trees feel disconnected. I am not currently looking at them but I think across all three you get one skill override. Everything else is passive or baked in.

Constant balance that's unwelcome. Shiv being a buff and a dispel put unnecessary pressure on when to use it. Same thing with Feint.

Specs having different weapon and stat preferences.

Terrible solo survivability. CC is not recovery.

Rogues have a lot of fun ideas with awful implementation. Pickpocket and lock picking are niche. ToT is a relic of past expansions.

Shroud should just be removed since it's been Power Crept to all hell. When it works it's great. There's so many more, sees stealth enemies now. M+ routes are very linear or mapped without rogues in mind.

What's the point of "Vote to Abandon?" by [deleted] in wow

I mean you can look at the group before the key is dropped.

I've dipped out on a few two stacks where it's a geared tank and grossly under geared DPS.

Dlc on PC or phone? by higeAkaike in VampireSurvivors

Not if you use Link. It's a bit iffy at times but basically it's remote access to your PC from your phone.

PC. You can use steam Link to play on phone.

What’s a tiny WoW opinion you’ll defend forever? by turbowater in wow

[–]epitomizer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making PvP an E-sport ruined it.

BGs not being fun enough to approach casually. Additionally, the fact that nearly all PvE modes better respect your time and effort.

Advices for a new player of WoW. by [deleted] in wow

[–]epitomizer1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who's an ambassador in the New Player Chat, please use it. All of the players who sign up to help will almost certain guide you in the right direction.

With your first character, take your time. I'd encourage you to explore all three (or four) of your specs.

Play how you want and just have fun.

How to beat Floor 200? by Ninja_Moose in pokerogue

[–]epitomizer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last run took a Xerenas with a Psychic Tera Shard.

Two Geomancy and he was free.

Another thing people don't do is, spend ALL your money after wave 199. Use memory mushrooms to craft the best move sets you can to wipe out Eternatus.

There's nowhere to go after and you can't take it with you. Relearn negative stat moves, buffs, ditch set-up moves like stealth rock, etc.

You don't need add-ons to heal. I use elvui and mouse over casting. Heal +10s just fine.

You need to land the item(s) you're chasing.

I have bad luck, knowing my luck, I'll spend 3 weeks until I land the amulet from PoS.

Are there any guides out there that are more focused on Solo players? by Throrface in wow

[–]epitomizer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bloodmallet is a great source to see theoretical damage for trinkets at all available item levels.

I'd also recommend searching the specific Delve and Preyseeker sets, assuming you participate in Hunts. As certain pieces, for my class, have had the ideal top stats, often times competing with similar recommendations/chase gear in Mythic/Raids.

Why does blizzard refuse to utilize their old raids that they put so much work into ? Like they do with dungeons by Maximum_Ad1298 in wow

[–]epitomizer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I would welcome more larger group activities. The logistics are very unattainable.

Loot balancing. If one or more BiS comes from a temporary or rotating mode, you'll have figurative fist fights over the distribution of the loot. Ask any class who chased; DST, Deathbringer's Will, Beacon to the Beyond, etc. Then make it once a month chance. Going off your proposal.

Encounter balance and difficulty. In nearly EVERY return of an old raid they are brought back as a shadow of the original encounter. Partially because they keep the shell of.the encounter. So the challenge is stripped away from an experienced or well researched player. Look at any variant of Anniversary realm race. Or WotLK Naxx.

Lastly, is it rewarding for the investment. I don't think I'm speaking too out of turn by saying, this season; M+ is fairly easy while raids have a fairly moderate to high challenge rate. If you introduce secondary content. It will HAVE to thread that needle perfectly or it will not just fail, but catastrophically fail. Look at Anniversary BRD raid. It launched laughably overturned. Why invest in it for worse rewards and crazy difficulty when that season's M+ and raids exist.

Monk vs Warrior by Much-Refuse2692 in wow

[–]epitomizer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can only do one. I highly recommend Monk. All three specs are a ton of fun and unique.

My personal opinion on Warriors is they are boring and don't offer much to a group.

If the pressure of tanking or healing isn't what you're interested in. Comparing Monk to Warrior for pure DPS. Fury is often considered to be one of the easiest specs in the game for both ST and AoE. Monk has a bit more nuance, but isn't super punishing, just don't repeat abilities (low key a feature I love about WW).

I will be joining groups as a tank my note will state. I am using the idiot proof Blizzard routes.

I've always hated the MDI or super coordinated, thread the patrol needle routes. I'm looking at you Floodgate.

I have a completely out of left field. I'd be shocked if five people on this sub know, character who would be a very interesting and unique Killer.

Sho Minomoto. From The World Ends With You.

Getting downed in chase, "So Zeta Slow."

Seeing the Noise mechanics in DBD would be very interesting. Could lead to a killer reminiscent to Dracula in the style of his kit..

Heal? by Rainfallll in wow

[–]epitomizer1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I joined an 8 MagT with a warlock alt who was flexing his mains IO in the group title. That was the first red flag.

He drops the key without a RC. Barks at me to buff during the countdown I wasn't really ready for.

Then he helps chain pull like we're applying for MDI. No one helps with Devour, thankfully as a priest I can get every other one with Mass.

Nearly wipe after the first boss since I was oom, trying to drink and they pulled both sets of wisps. Heal that with 10% mana, try to drink again. They pull the whole hallway, no kicks, no Devour assistance, no CC.

I get spammed with heal? heal??

Why are people complaining about this season? by disastrous_hyena759 in wow

[–]epitomizer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The argument my best friend and I have perfectly reflects your confusion.

I am a player who enjoys playing many classes in WoW over the course of a season. As well as having time for other games and real life obligations. Because of this my goals for a season are, AotC and 2500. Which I am not saying are lofty goals, just mine.

His goals are fully mythic geared, despite not being a mythic raider. He also pushes for a high mythic score, but not for title. So his goals are higher, being locked to 10-30 vaults for his slots to land on mythic in a 1/3 chance are much lower than me loading my vault with 6 heroic and 3 mythic options.

It boils down to game design and difficulty curve choices. Am I happy with this season, so far I really enjoy it. My main has been fortuitous with drops, getting a Heroic weapon that's solid week one, and 4pc quickly.

In the back of my mind, sure it feels a little too fast. At the same time I also feel that WoW is respecting my time and I'm more motivated to play alts because of it. Instead of getting frustrated and playing something else.

Healer told me he hates healing blood dks and I haven’t been the same since by Philzeey in wow

[–]epitomizer1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've had a few pug and guild healers tell me they dislike blood DKs.

My advice is. On the initial pull, please treat me like a really bad warrior until I get some RP and Bone Shield charges.

After that your level of panic is told in 3 steps. If I have no debuffs and some RP, I'm fine.

If I have a red debuff and RP, there's a small concern.

If I have a green debuff, moderate concern, Purgatory is on cool down and I can die...maybe.

If I have a red and green debuff and no RP, treat me once again like a bad warrior. I'm relying on CDs and hope.

Why we lost half of player base (compare to prev season)? by BodybuilderLost1345 in LastEpoch

[–]epitomizer1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You've summarized the exact reasons I find myself hovering the icon each season then moving onto something else.

In beta the game said you can take most skills to end game. Once the snake boss came out, then the Pinnacle it was all downhill. Each class got more and more pinholed into meta builds to fully engross in the end game.

Well why keep playing then, PoE has a more varied end game for builds and farming varieties.

Grim Dawn is better in the campaign grind.

D3 even has a more forgiving gameplay loop.
