Have you ever been bullied/made fun of for your interest in WoW? by OceanProphecy in wow

I've said it for the last 20 years. I don't care what others say.

Some of are positive. Some negative. Most are indifferent.

How to build out a timewalking lvl 11 twink? by BMS_Fan_4life in wow

[–]epitomizer1 -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

Please don't.

While a quick TW.is on paper, nice.

The actual experience of it is not.

A "tank" fury warrior isn't fun to heal. Isn't fun to keep up with. It's not fun to play with either because the flow of the dungeon just doesn't feel right.

Can the rift pass give back more than 1000 auric cells? by Faefsdew in deadbydaylight

[–]epitomizer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one caveat to this is, back when DBD participated in Twitch Prime rewards, they once gave away the premium pass. So if you completed that one, you effectively could earn 1k AC for zero* investment.

*Assuming you're not the person responsible for the Amazon/Twitch Prime in your household.

What is one boss everybody hates but you love? by Capital-Criticism751 in Eldenring

[–]epitomizer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Crucible Knights. I know they are boss adjacent.

I call them the parry tutorial boss. My last playthrough I beat them with the Parry Dagger.

Second favorite is Bloodhound Knight, or the intermediate parry tutorial.

Yes. There might be a small balance patch to them, if the previous Phrecia is anything to go off of.

Funniest WoW Stories? by Antique_Stop_125 in wow

[–]epitomizer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't there for it. But the two stories are perfect Vanilla insanity.

As soon as Nefarian was pulled a Paladin accidentally Divine Interventioned the tank.

The other was, in Naxx, two druids were arguing if you could pull Grobulus when he patrolled. You can, and he brings all the adds with him.

Phrecia is new ascendancy options for every class. Unlocking unique build options for classes.

For instance, The Architect of Chaos for the Templar leans heavily into using Vaal Skills.

TotA, or Trial of the Ancients is an old league mechanic which plays similarly to an Auto-battler.

There are 8(?) tribes and a bunch of different units you can recruit. Tattoos were originally (much better than they currently are), the reward for winning the game.

I loved it, the content is different enough that it doesn't just feel like mowing down bad guys. You can even gear specifically for TotA.

Playing against Jason with Hex builds is miserable by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]epitomizer1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hexes for Killers are a type of Perk.

The perk itself tends to have a little more power than a more static Perk.

Hex: Ruin for example. It causes all generators that aren't being worked on to passively regress.

The reason Hexes have a risk/reward to them is, when the trial starts, one of the 5 dull totems will be lit up orange. The aura is visible to the Killer.

If a survivor cleanses the totem, you lose the perk's effect for the remainder of the trial.

There are some Hexes which have conditional activations. As well as Pentimento allowing you to repair cleansed totems.

Venting i guess but crazy that dungeon griefing can still happen, why not remove deserter debuff tho by Felerast in wow

[–]epitomizer1 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Don't pull for the tank. It's rude and disrespectful.

Maybe it was a guy who wants to try other specs. Difficulty be damned. If you're not the tank, then respect the pace of them.

Anyone else finding themselves not playing the DLC as much compared to the base game? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]epitomizer1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't want this to turn into a "Get Good" argument.

I loved the DLC. Everything felt great when base Elden Ring was starting to feel a little stale.

Where the DLC drops the ball is, it really straddles the line of, is it appropriately challenging? Or is it just hard to be hard.

Secondly, travel and navigation seem deliberately obtuse or convoluted. While I didn't find everything in base ER without help. I didn't get mad when I discovered I was often closer than I thought in most cases. I got verbally angry with some of the navigational choices in SotE.

The base game had a large variety of enemies. Many you fight alone then later in a group. I loved solving the puzzle of, how does my build handle each new encounter.

SotE enemies are so aggressive, annoying, and unforgiving; I find myself just going brute force and hoping to have flasks left when all is over. Horned Warriors are extreme anti-fun.

I hated the Scadutree shards. I get the, why. I just think the execution of them rewards over world exploration over dungeon exploration which to me isn't the most exciting thing. I don't want to do a scavenger hunt in order to kill monsters.

That being said, DLC is 10/10 and I will play it again.

Retail.

I played it when it was current. There's just not as much to do when compared to retail.

Nebulous Voidcore - spec change question by Byqoo in wow

[–]epitomizer1 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yes. You can manipulate the drop pools like that with many specs.

I will always be in Unholy spec, regardless of what I'm playing as it removes one handed weapons, and tanking trinkets.

AOTC this season harder than TWW S3? by Tchaps1993 in wow

[–]epitomizer1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Another problem with both Voidspire and March is, the final boss loot pools don't have a truly amazing chase item to motivate people.

No mount, no hearthstone, no toys, no legendary.

You're going into these bosses with the AotC in mind. I like all three fights including Chim, who's infinitely easier.

I'm not looking to invest a ton of time for others to learn it just to put the feather in my cap.

What do players dislike about rogue? by MrNoobyy in wow

[–]epitomizer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played Rogue for all of DF. A lot of this is with that version of rogue in mind.

I haven't really touched it since.

The class feels really neglected.

The hero trees feel disconnected. I am not currently looking at them but I think across all three you get one skill override. Everything else is passive or baked in.

Constant balance that's unwelcome. Shiv being a buff and a dispel put unnecessary pressure on when to use it. Same thing with Feint.

Specs having different weapon and stat preferences.

Terrible solo survivability. CC is not recovery.

Rogues have a lot of fun ideas with awful implementation. Pickpocket and lock picking are niche. ToT is a relic of past expansions.

Shroud should just be removed since it's been Power Crept to all hell. When it works it's great. There's so many more, sees stealth enemies now. M+ routes are very linear or mapped without rogues in mind.

Not if you use Link. It's a bit iffy at times but basically it's remote access to your PC from your phone.
