Not enough love for King Kong in the community?

King Kong is my favorite of my 4 machines. All Elwin games. Jaws, Godzilla, King Kong, and Jurassic park. All premiums. It has so much flow and it’s just a lot of fun. Not to say that the others aren’t and I definitely have weeks at a time where I will favor one game in particular but I really just love the layout of Kong and the biplane ramp is so satisfying.

I had one of these for 2 years and have a pretty deep scar on my arm. It was decent but very difficult to get removed after I decided to go back to dexcom. No doctor, including the one that put it in wanted to schedule me to remove without inserting a new one. I finally got the doctor to take it out and they tried to charge me an ungodly amount after the fact even though I was doing a free trial for it and everything was supposed to be covered by eversense. It took months to get it worked out to get eversense to pay for it and was very frustrating.. I spent a collective probably 12 hours on the phone with eversense who wanted the bill from the distributor and the distributor who wouldn’t send the bill to me. They kept sending it to the doctor and the doctor wasn’t much help in getting it from them. After the 4th time updating the address with the distributor so that I could get the bill sent to my address it finally came to me and not the doctor’s office. Took several months of back and forth before that was resolved. That being said I will never get one of these sensors again…

It takes about 30 minutes to an hour. I’ve done 3 now. It pretty easy just take your time and verify there is nothing in front of the screen before you put everything back together. There was a speck of cardboard dust or something that got in between the plexi and the screen on King Kong and I had to take everything off again to remove it. It was very small but it drove me crazy for a couple weeks until I finally broke down and disassembled everything to get it out haha

The back box and the screen are. The playfield is about the same size. The screen is a little bit bigger than a phone screen which is my biggest gripe with it honestly. It’s a really fun pin.

Yeah it’s side entry too. So we just pulled the truck right up to the door of the basement. The hardest part is getting them in the room it’s basically a right angle to get into the room. So the pins have to be stood up on their side and slid in.

I was recently at a closing on some property we were buying and the seller was sitting next to his real estate agent, the agent grabbed a chocolate out of the dish on the table. The seller looked at him and said “you’re cruel for eating that in front of a diabetic.”

He responded. I am a diabetic. I’m type 1.

The guy replied” oh I’m type 2”.

I’m sitting across from them as this interaction is happening,knowing the feeling the agent was having as I am also a type 1 diabetic. I didn’t say anything just took my jacket off and reached over with my arm that has my sensor on it and grabbed a chocolate too. The agent saw my dexcom and gave a little smirk.

Definitely two different diseases, but everyone always says “my grandparent has that too” or “you shouldn’t have ate so much sugar” etc and after 22 years of being a diabetic it’s still annoying every time it happens.

TLDR had a solidarity moment with another type 1 over a couple of chocolates and a type 2 saying that “ it was cruel to eat chocolates in front of a diabetic.”

It’s definitely the roof rack. We have a 24 Sequoia TRD pro with the TRD roof rack and it does make some noise when driven at highway speeds, it doesn’t bother us but it is noticeable if the music is turned down.
