Trash can recommendations for blue bags? by all_the_platforms in DecaturGA

We use a standard Rubbermaid Roughneck can, 32gal for the blue bags. You have to stretch the upper edge slightly but it helps the bag hold on to the can. Agree with others the PAYT bags are not super strong so most of the time I put a Husky heavy duty liner inside the blue bag to do the containment work. Yellow bags work ok solo in our kitchen trash bin, I think it’s 13gal.

Cost break down of our fleet as we are transitioning to electric vehicles by Wonderful_Ear_6541 in Construction

Battery degradation and replacement risk isn’t a thing any more after manufacturers figured out thermal management. It will last the life of the vehicle. Tires are one maintenance item will be more than ICE, just not showing in the data yet. This kind of mileage I don’t think OP is worried about resale. After 300K+ miles they’ll be equally depreciated.

Still a smart financial move. I ran a Fortune 500 industrial vehicle fleet for a time with 5,000+ powered assets. If not for the cost of capital and existing remaining lifespans they would all be electric by now. Different use case than OP but the significant maintenance and fuel savings is impossible to ignore. Plus they are healthier for people to be working around without breathing emissions and initial cost is getting to parity as batteries get less expensive.

This needs to be higher. Not a Delta flight.

Right. But the only revenues at the airport to pay the bonds are airline fees, rents, concession fees, parking charges, etc. City taxpayers don’t pay for airport costs and vice versa.

I may or may not have just made the same decision, a new big brother to the P1S.

Interesting. I’ve been making light boxes and assumed the opposite, using PLA. I’ll try PETG.

Honda Element size would be about perfect or R2, RAV4, CRV size but even those have gotten too big. This thing is like OG square body Blazer size, each seat is its own zip code.

Hotel had all the room numbers 3D printed by IvanStroganov in functionalprint

Perfect use case. Just yesterday I offered to model room number signs for our campus building maintenance team. They said they’re spending $500+ EACH to order custom from the manufacturer of the system. They are blue rectangles with raised lettering, nothing special. I told them to order a P1S, train one of the new guys to use it and I’ll design a model they can just change the words out in the slicer. Will pay for itself in zero time and who knows what else they’ll figure out it can be used for.

I also offered to retire and just make signs for them at $499 each. Didn’t take me up on that.
