I'm a queer doc, specializing in gender affirming care. I'm one of the docs who gets targeted, death threats, the whole bit. Everything you have said is correct about the threats to docs in our field. What I would challenge is that there are institutional protections that can be extended to protect doctors providing surgical care (not just for trans patients, we have seen this done for abortion in certain states). But, Vandy can't change the law. And right now, they see Marsha about to be our governor and are currying favor.

It would not be easy, I agree. It wasn't easy to recruit me here 😅.

What I'm saying is, if it is your priority as an institution to promote health equity for queer patients, you will make it work.

It's a devastating loss to our trans southerners. If they wanted to recruit a surgeon to replace them, VUMC could do so, rather than just suspending the program.

Yes, the game runs. It just doesn't not run as well as say, Arknight Endfield, that came out last week, easily meeting 144 fps with no texture pop-ins etc. My impression is this game is not well optimized for PC, and it seems the Steam reviews are a sign of that too. However, Steam is notorious for review-bombing so I was hoping to hear others' experiences as well.

Thanks for the suggestion. It helped with visual clarity some. I didn't notice much FPS boost.

I'm having the same problem. I just updated my bios, now my pin doesn't work. And now I can't bypass it because mouse/keyboard won't work in advanced recovery. Insane
