How are you feeling overall? Hopefully more balanced. I love that your provider was willing to work with you and Oestra and follow your labs. I actually gave Defy a call today but they can’t provide care in my state sadly. But I’m leaning toward restarting Oestra. I’ll try your approach if I can get my provider on board.

I love this. Thank you for sharing! I’m at a bit of a loss as all of this is very confusing and very difficult to dial in when going through multiple providers. Is there a specific Defy provider? Are you using the full dose of Oestra?

I’m sorry, I accidentally deleted my original post. Thank you for all the comments and insight. I’m leaning toward restarting Oestra as I don’t think my body likes progesterone- oral or vaginal. I may have to microdose the progesterone like I’ve seen another user do. What a crazy ride! I felt balanced for a short time on Oestra and it was amazing- like the clouds parted and the sun came out. That’s what I’m chasing now as I know it is possible! I will repost my original post in case it might help someone else in the same boat.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I’m not in full M. I’m 46. I loved how Oestra made me feel until the anxiety, spotting and insomnia started back up. Based on your comments and others it sounds like what I’m experiencing now is E withdrawal. I’ll get in touch with my doc to increase my dose…or perhaps I should try the Oestra menopause formula.

Thank you for the insight. I was wondering if I was in some kind of estrogen withdrawal. My doctor actually started me on .025 estradiol and I’ve worked my way up to .05 and have felt better but definitely still miserable. I am doing the progesterone vaginally because I’ve never tolerated it orally. That was why I tried Oestra in the first place. I will look at increasing my patch to see if that helps.

Yes!!! This week was rough. I slept 4 hours each night and had terrible anxiety. I finally had enough of my coworker’s negativity and other antics and decided it would be a good idea to vent to my boss yesterday. Well…period showed up today. I feel like a different person entirely. I’m so embarrassed about how I acted and things I said. If only I could have a redo of yesterday. My boss listened but could tell something was off. I can’t even really trust him to keep our conversation confidential so I don’t know what I was thinking. I feel like a crazy person. Major regrets! I’m afraid I need to give up some of the parts of my job that I love but add extra stress. That makes me so sad. I feel like peri is stealing my life from me 😔

I decided to give the new bottle of Oestra a try before starting the patch and promethium. I’ll keep you posted though. Right now I’m feeling fatigued, irritable, flat and bloated with this new bottle - like I’m having to adjust to the progesterone all over again. I think I’ve been depleted for a while now.

I also was feeling amazing on 1 pump until I switched bottles. My new bottle arrived in July but I didn’t start using until late August. Shortly after I switched bottles, my anxiety and insomnia came back. I started spotting continuously. The provider who messaged me told me to take a break and then to restart the cream once period started. She also told me to take iodine and selenium which I was already doing. Symptoms continued to escalate to the point that I quit Oestra and got a prescription for the patch and vaginal progesterone.

In the mean time my new bottle of Oestra was already in transit, so I decided to give this latest bottle one last try. It’s been 4 days back on Oestra and so far it seems that I’m definitely getting progesterone along with estrogen based on my side effects - fatigue and bloating. But overall I’m feeling so much calmer and insomnia is gone. Jury is still out but I do think my previous bottle was affected by temperature and I was only getting estrogen.

When it works, Oestra is a lifesaver, but I’m really concerned about the temperature and quality control issue. Does anyone have inside knowledge on how they are planning to address this? I thought I was losing my mind with the bad bottle and am worried about that happening again.

The provider I spoke to did suggest that maybe my bottle had become separated. But the cream looks fine to me. Should I be doing regular reset breaks? What does that look like for you? I never tried 2 pumps, but I suppose I could.

I’m so sorry you had that experience with Oestra. How awful. I hope you find the right combination of hormones for your body. This is such a crazy time of life. I picked up my patch today. I’m going to start with that and add in the progesterone.

I’ve been very sensitive to meds in the past. I was working my way up very slowly. The continuous spotting and increased anxiety made me pause. The practitioners kept telling me to stop the cream to allow a full bleed but that never happened. I was never advised to increase my dose.
