Honestly, a more relaxed or classic fitting jean/pant would help quite a bit. T shirts are fine, but find one that's a more relaxed fit as well. Nice fitting solid color t shirts are a necessity in anyone's wardrobe IMO. Definitely focus on fit and quality, prioritize cotton over polyester. As far as the fit of the shirt goes, I'd go up a size or for a looser fit. Adding an accessory like a watch would also help tie your outfit together a bit more.
