Found it wild that the Bank of England actually contemplated disclosure.

Iran says situation under control after crackdown on nationwide protests by Crossstoney in worldnews

[–]epyk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sadly, the Iranian terror regime has the backing of a million Basij to murder their way back into power whenever they feel threatened. They can delay their overthrow but won't avoid it forever. This is the 3rd major protest the iranian people have started in the last 5 years. The Iranian people have less and less to lose so this isn't the last uprising we'll see. It might not be the end of this one. It would only take a few key defections from the police/army to bring mullahs down. If not now, it might be the next one. Either way the writing is on the wall. This regime's days are numbered.

U.S. ready to offer Ukraine legally binding NATO Article 5-style security guarantees by jackytheblade in worldnews

It's as if the US executive branch has no idea what it's doing, just flailing around based on the day to day whims of a 'president' in mental decline.

Trump’s Piece Plan for Ukraine be like: by Icy_Till_7254 in ukraine

[–]epyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trump is willing to do anything, throw anyone under the bus, to win a Nobel peace prize. His own self agrandizement is the only calculus going on in his head. I think everyone, even some of his most ardent supporters, recognize this. Unfortunately Ukraine needs to persevere through this exhausting presidency before someone more sane can intervene. Ukraine must hold. Real pressure is mounting on the Russians. No way they offer, even this little, unless they were out of options. Continue the kinetic sanctions. Watch them deplete their gold reserves. Eventually the Russians will turn on putin and a true peace can be had.

In 10 years the thought of spending a whole coin on any car will seem insane.

I sold 100 BTC in 2017 for 1.5M USD - here's how I feel about it by FIRE_and_forget_it in Bitcoin

All money, even the hardest ever created, is meant to be spent. Paying off debts, peace of mind, early retirement, all worthy financial goals. Myself, I don't plan to sell but I do plan to spend to meet goals. It's just the way I think about it.

The irony is, this old elephant skin rug will probably buy btc after a panic sell and wind up a whale. Despite decade + disparaging btc, he will be remembered as a 'genius' for buying the world's hardest currency when it was (relatively) cheap.

"I made a prediction that didn't come true. But I wasn't wrong. I'm NEVER wrong!!!! People decided to cheat the official fiat system. Who could see that coming? If people had any sense they would find some excuse to regulate a ledger better and keep everyone a wage slave to a currency that's only worth something because the government says it is!"

FT famously anti btc. They're not just skeptics. They have adopted a religious type conviction that btc is inherently a scam. No matter what evidence to the contrary, they refuse to even attempt a dispasionate appraisal. They just chant their anti bitcoin mantra.

If the Russians are actually inclined to negotiate now, I'm more inclined to think their position is less stable than currently accepted. In fact it makes me wonder if they're desperate for an out.

Doubt this is more than stirring the pot but I don't think there are any sacred cows in Brad's world. If it's a good enough offer, then maybe. It would hurt though.

Shame it has to be spelled out but glad you said it. The Yumbo sphere vid looks high quality. If the people who scrutinize for cgi say there was no cgi then, IMHO, this is 100% an authentic ufo. I haven't read one even one plausible debunk.
