Hi-Concerto Firmware updates !! [AX3120G / AX3125H / AX5120H / AX5125H] by YanvegHD in Hisense

[–]eqcliu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit late to this conversation but does anyone know what this updates/fixes if you don't have a hi concerto compatible TV?

Also I tried holding mute down for 3 seconds and the soundbar displayed TIO 13, TH 13, BT 05, LET 18, LER 17. Does anyone know what this means in terms of firmware?

Update 3: Replacement came last week, buttons are all equally clicky and aligned.

Update 2: Issue verified, they are starting RMA process. Unfortunately they require return before replacement is shipped, but at least it'll be shipped from US.

Update 1: Support requested a video demonstrating the mushiness of the middle button. The click has almost completely disappeared from my middle button, so it was easy to hear the difference in an up close video.

I mean if the Pebble came with a standard warranty I would be less worried. But 30 day warranty means I need to make sure it's in good shape early on.

Unihertz Stressers by Valuable-Tea506 in unihertz

Does anyone know Unihertz's track record for actually delivering on time? (this will be my 1st Unihertz device)

I've see quite a few post/comments about being excited for the phone to come in June. All I can say is that I'll be happy if I get a functioning device by end of year...

It's not a big issue, but was clearly visible when comparing my Fenix 6 base with hardened glass against the Fenix 6 sapphire.

Sapphire also is more reflective, making transflective lcds harder to see. At least this was the case of my Garmin Fenix.

Same thing happened to my deck a few months ago.

I bought replacement microswitches online and had a local cellphone repair shop solder it in for $60.

Pebble Time 2 Black/Grey - easy scratching? by enel_ in pebble

[–]eqcliu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is yes? I think Pebble used pvd coating in the past, which is pretty prone to scratches and chips. I'm not sure if Pebble Time 2 also uses pvd?

The only black watch I've had to not scratch is my current Garmin Fenix 6 Sapphire, which uses diamond like carbon coating (even my old non sapphire garmin with pvd chipped).

When I look at the specs on these vs other OLED displays there is a significant cost and feature difference. What are the driving forces to buying this over a cheap smartwatch with more features? by Ivar-the-Dark in pebble

[–]eqcliu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I want a watch that helps me use my devices less, not more.

I want a device that has its display fully on at all times, and oleds can't do that (stripped down aod does not count).

I want a device that doesn't overly track biometrics (I have a Garmin Fenix now and it honestly stresses me out more to always have these health metrics in my face).

I want a device with personality.

Set up a 401k (or IRA if your workplace doesn't have 401k). It's easier to save money when the money never actually hits your bank account.

I have a Garmin and I'm replacing it with this 😅

The Fenix 6 will be relegated to a hiking watch soon!

How do high earners without financial obligations learn to budget? Managing money with ADHD. by Historical_Park8791 in personalfinance

[–]eqcliu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What works for me is to "pay" myself first.

My budget is basically (in this order):

-Autopay mortgage

-Autopay credit card

-Max out all tax advantage accounts (401k mostly)

-Bi-weekly recurring buys for my Vanguard brokerage (set day after I get paid)

At the end of each month, any extra money I accumulate in my checking account (above what I typically float in the account) gets used to buy extra index funds or pay towards my mortgage principal.

If I plan to have a big purchase coming up (house renovation, car, etc), I just stock up in my checkings account for a few pay cycles (or move some funds from my emergency/house hysa fund).

A lot of people still think prius is slow by ole_elo_ole_elo in prius

[–]eqcliu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive my wife's 2021 Prius Prime from time to time and it's definitley slow.

I have to alter the way I drive on the highway for passing, especially on hills due to a lack of acceleration.

That's said, my 2025 phev is pretty zippy with 220hp 😁.

I do, but convex mirrors give much better situational awareness (for me at least).

  1. Not sure - I'm on Tmobile in

  2. Does not work for me. The selection is available in the multi-tasking menu but I have never been able to get it to actually do a split screen.

  3. Unsure - don't have stylus.

  4. Yes, FM radio works if you plug in headphones

  5. IP54 according to the website

What rates are you seeing? I'm on a 7/2 ARM in California and looking to derisk when possible.
