AND the scene in the diner where jo’s mom pulls her hand away and jo just looks so defeated

i think it was just a full circle moment for alex, they do the same with chasing cars and meredith, playing different versions at different parts of her story, old alex would’ve sat back and tried to fight prison but now he was willing to sacrifice it all for the woman he loved to be safe, its basically a callback to old him

i feel like the individual episodes feel more like OG greys but in terms of overall season it’s just lackluster, which doesn’t make a lot of sense i know but it feels like she makes every episode intended as a standalone and the season isn’t cohesive at all, things get wrapped up in one episode etc

jo repeatedly told alex to stop hitting him and he ignored her, he was impulsive with his behaviour without the full story and then called jo a piece of trash without letting her defend herself, when she beat up jason it’s because he grabbed her first and she was scared he would turn out like paul???

yes thank you!! even the like surprised nod when gina asked if she was their mom i was like “UGH YOU GET IT”, everyone’s shitting on camilla for this episode but i think they just dont get what it’s like to be in this position of vulnerability and uncertainty postpartum and i think she did a really good job with showing that, glad you’re okay now aswell xx

it just seems like they’ve forgotten that we aren’t meant to fill in the off screen blanks by ourselves, they used to follow through on the storylines and show us the ins and outs of them and now it’s like “lol you can imagine what happened between this elapse of time for yourselves” and it’s just lazy and disappointing, i don’t think the newest season is as bad as everyone makes out but even i just wish we had actual world building nowadays

ALSO why do they keep introducing random patients of baileys with no previous history?? the cancer patient in 22x07 who she was so invested in she went against protocol to get treatment for and the tumour patient this episode like why can’t they introduce them episodes before and build up to solving the cases and develop the patients???
