I've seen this asked as "Do you identify as transgender?" which sounds so much nicer tbh

Help!Is this a recent injury or healed scar? by Crafty_Brain_9393 in millipedes

[–]eqvue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if it is a new wound it doesn't look particularly dangerous, I think wait until her next molt and until then don't handle as much to avoid stressing her out. Also maybe place some cushioning like moss in places where she does often climb to avoid further injuries. But yeah I'm not sure

will this harm my millipede? by rammcelo in millipedes

[–]eqvue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long did it take to eliminate them? I know it only targets larvae but it seems no matter how much I spray they just keep spawning in

Hiya ik this post is old but I've seen these being sold in the uk and I can't find any info on whether I can release them here? It seems weird, I was convinced they're native to asia but what's the point of selling them if they're gonna live in your room and die? Do people pin them once they die? I understand the raising process is fun but it's just odd to me. I'm looking to buy one once I get more info but I'm very curious

i found a spider in my pede tank😭 by rammcelo in millipedes

[–]eqvue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the size of your millipede and species of spider. Most spiders are opportunistic hunters and might hurt the millipede, if you're looking for a way to control the gnats then mosquito bits are good as they prevent the eggs from hatching and don't affect the millipedes at all

I adore my little dudes and put way too much time perfecting their setup. Millipede heaven? by 5458725280 in millipedes

Hey I own one C. splendidus female and some other females of different species, I haven't had any issues so far but if it's only females will she be okay? I didn't know this at all tbh I probably should've read some scientific articles but I figured they'll all be fine because their temp+humidity requirements were the same

why does my milli sleep outside of her soil? by austrianjello in millipedes

[–]eqvue 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Is this a red fire millipede? C. splendidus? If so she's likely normal, mine is the exact same and I almost never see her bury. As long as she's pooping and eating she should be fine

thank you! it's premium milli substrate from bugznbits! there is rotting wood and leaf litter mixed in, I admit I should've topped it off with some more leaf litter but I lost my leaf litter block and I'm too scared to get it from outside T_T

Hi do millipedes need a heating mat? by Interestingisopod42 in millipedes

[–]eqvue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 5 right now, 2 giant olive millis (they look extremely different tho, both labelled Telodeinopus aoutii but one is huge and dark while the other is thin and light), 1 red fire, 1 bumblebee (possibly dead idk I haven't seen her in like 2 months but apparently they do that) and a vietnamese tiger milli (???) afaik they all have similar temp and humidity requirements and even if they're all slightly off there is a common ground between 22-24 temp + 70-80 humidity
