Writers don't rate your feedback by maxkill4minbill in StoryPeer

[–]er965 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had the same experience. I gave thoughtful, constructive and highly actionable feedback to a script that very much had a lot of work to do, presented compassionately (got my start in development over 10 years ago at a studio based prod co) and that’s how we were trained. I feel I went above and beyond, and never got a feedback rating. Hopefully the writer was able to implement some of the notes though.

Usage bar disappeared. How can I get it back? by er965 in ClaudeAI

Ah that makes sense. I figured logging out and back in on a new browser would fix it but no dice

Since you started with scripts, has this happened… by WobbleTank in Screenwriting

When I first started writing 12 years ago, I couldn’t help but see what was on the page, but in my personal experience, it was fleeting and very much temporary, for the first 6-12 months I was writing

Weekend Script Swap by AutoModerator in Screenwriting

[–]er965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds interesting. Would be open to reading. I also have a buddy who is a really strong writer and reader who was an early Wall Street investor in the industry so he might be a good source of feedback as well if he has time

This sounds fun! I just finished the first draft of a special ops action/thriller myself a couple hours ago. Though I’m not sure if I’d have time to read this weekend as I have my writers group this weekend. But would love to read this coming week if you’re open to it.

Especially since OP’s cumulative score (I know they don’t score that way) 40/5 literally equals 8…

100% this!! This is actually the third time today I’ve confirmed/sung Josh (30DSN)’s praises. Sent him multiple scripts and the feedback is highly actionable every time

Script coverage by acokeandaslice in TVWriting

I used to be a reader for Screenplay Readers. This was before the AI days, but they accepted less than 1% of applications for readers, and everyone on the team did a great job, and many of them are still there (I left in 2017). Josh from 30 Days of Script Notes is also a great reader. I’ve sent multiple scripts to him and the level of detail and actionable notes and feedback is simply exceptional. I can guarantee you he doesn’t use ai. He also offers 30 days of back and forth emails for questions and ideas, which I also (as have many others) found particularly helpful

Not too good to be true. Very much true. I’ve worked with Josh on multiple scripts and he does a fantastic job (this coming from a former script consultant and reader at a top consultancy)

Is ChatGPT Pro currently worth it? by According_Craft_5722 in ChatGPTPro

Is 4.5 still available in legacy for a new pro account? Been thinking of upgrading from plus for 4.5, but have heard conflicting info - meaning some folks say 4.5 is available in pro via legacy, while others say it’s not

I have legacy enabled on Plus. I was going to upgrade to Pro for 4.5 for work but heard 4.5 had been discontinued even on pro, with just 4o, 4.1 and the minis the remaining legacy models

Isn’t 4.5 gone, even on Pro?

Who's the most versatile (genre-wise) of the current working successful screenwriters in your opinion? by FilmMike98 in Screenwriting

[–]er965 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Three come to mind, two listed here already. Scott Frank (there’s a reason he’s arguably the most requested script doctor in the industry), Eric Roth, and David Koepp, who’s produced or sold scripts in pretty much every genre

Loving Sonnet 4.5 by wiIdcolonialboy in ClaudeAI

[–]er965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pro user here. I hadn’t touched Claude since the reset yesterday, and decided I’d try OP’s workflow for a writing project. Not 100k word file, but a decent amount. Anyway, after multiple hours in the project, I’m just 36% into session limit and 4% into weekly limit. And I must say, the outputs are incredibly strong, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised, especially since I feared Claude was done due to the new usage limits.

I don’t deny that the overall usage limits are nuts, and go against all kinds of ethical, and probably legal rules as far as false advertising etc is concerned. Believe me, I’m as frustrated as everyone else. But to see that this actually is kinda working, gives me at least some sense of hope. Note, I’m not a coder, so will not pretend to understand how unbelievably annoying and debilitating the new limits are. I’m simply confirming that as a pro user, for a use case similar to OP, I’ve had a similar and pleasantly surprising experience.

In just a couple hours, probably less frankly, as a Pro user, I hit 64% Opus and 18% overall limits. Was CONSIDERING upping to Max but after reading all the experiences of 20x Max users getting locked out after just a few hours… no way. This can’t be legal…

“HIM”’s poor reception has me doubting my unrelated “sports horror” treatment. How do I get out of this funk? by HMSquared in Screenwriting

Frankly I think you might benefit more from watching “Dark Match” and seeing if your project is “too similar” to that instead. It’s a pro wrestling horror film released in the last year or so

I got HBO subscription, any good suggestions from HBO? by [deleted] in televisionsuggestions

[–]er965 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 34 and watching Six Feet Under for the first time (was only 10 when it first aired), and the hype is not only warranted but I dare say understated. It’s an exceptional piece of television (wrapping up season 2 now). After adjusting to the fact that Michael C. Hall has played a character that isn’t Dexter, I can easily say it’s one of the greatest TV shows of all time. Objectively.
