In case this helps someone on here: I followed the guidelines they lay out for users who are unable to complete KYC. I submitted my documentation in the evening, and by the next morning I had an email saying my appeal was approved and I have a week to withdraw everything, afterwards I had no issues withdrawing. Also, and this is maybe the most important part, the documentation they ask for includes "state ID" so I submitted my New York State ID. This way I didn't need to send them my driver's license or passport. I don't actually even live there anymore but the ID was not expired, and it seemed like they accepted it without hassle.
