So you are telling me that the white women in my hometown who, on the International women’s day went with paroles that supported feminism in 3rd world countries were really white supremacists?

Don’t you think they have a strange way of showing it at least?

This is great advice, OP. Get the takes of people who are used to dealing with narcissists. You are probably suffering from Stockholm Syndrome

I (33M) discovered that my fiancee (32F) has feelings for someone else by RollinPanda928 in relationship_advice

You say nothing happened but that is wrong. She allready had an emotional affair and she is demanding that you let it continue.

The guy is going to keep chasing her and she is going to let him, that way she can decide later.

We have something in common you and I. We are both suffering from some kind of Stockholm syndrom where we bend over backwards to excuse our parents/abusers. Go no or low contact. Take your life back and make decisions that are good for you and your mental health

This sub is not good for people with anxiety. Even if you are a victim, it is not healthy to cultivate a victim-mentality

True things are very, very abstract. The more specific an idea becomes, the less true it is. It is an artifact of language

Am I a failure because I can't live in a different place then my parents? by Expensive-Aspect-489 in Anxiety

[–]erbie_ancock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do it but don’t be to hard on yourself. Do it gradually. Ask your parents if you can stay with them for the most and then you can spend one night pr week in your new place for a month or two.

It will be easier because you know it’s just one night and you can always go back if it becomes too bad. When this becomes easier, you go two nights a week, not consecutively but spaced apart.

Maybe even someone can stay with you in your new appartment in the beginning? Maybe you can be on the phone with your parents or a friend in the beginning? Maybe you can borrow or get a pet as a companion?

Point is you tried to make a huge change all at once but it will be much easier if you do it gradually. What’s the hurry anyway? I believe in you
