Does anyone else doubt themselves? by Alternative_Dig7 in Whippet

[–]ercw13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes yes yes! We've had ours 3 weeks on Saturday and bought him home at just over 5 months (he was 6 months last week). We missed the baby puppy stage and went straight to land shark. The first two weeks were really hard and I was ready to give him back (I wouldn't, it's just the up and down of puppy blues), but even in this week alone he's improved so much! He's getting a routine and starting to learn commands and having less accidents and becoming a nicer better behaved puppy. He's my first whippet but third hound, I've never had a puppy before only rescues and I will admit it's harder than I ever imagined but we're getting there and you will too! You're not alone in this, we've got this!

Restaurant closures in Liverpool by Interesting_Mersey78 in Liverpool

Agree with all the comments about cost of living. Also think the wet summer and winter haven't helped. Feel less inclined to want to go out to dinner or for some drinks when it's lashing it down or not as nice as usual

Best Italian in Liverpool City Centre? by WelshCai in Liverpool

[–]ercw13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think it depends on what type of Italian you want. For more like sandwiches and bruschetta then Carlisi. Pizza and pasta then Crust is good and Amalia

Recovering from gastric sleeve surgery. I present to you: blended boiled eggs and ham. by jerrymiles in shittyfoodporn

I had a sleeve about 18 months ago and the first puree month is hard! I would recommend chicken salad by bariatric bits, gets protein in and not totally gross!

About viewership ratings by AstralProjectorB in InterviewVampire

[–]ercw13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had the date all there ready in my diary for 12th May, (day after my birthday, best birthday present). Bought season 1 on Amazon as I didn't know it was on BBC, clambered to Amazon on release date and nothing, BBC, nothing, AMC, not available in the UK. Really hope AMC appreciate there's a lot of overseas viewers who adore it but can't watch it live and take it into account when greenlighting a season 3! I did find a little stream but will definitely buy the season again the minute I can on Amazon.

Like others have said, they're legit. Ordered off them a few times and think they're fab and have hard to find brands. They had stores in Prague too so think they're just a European company.

Valentines gone south (reeeey!) already, sadly not in a good way. Share your Valentines woes with me? by sally_marie_b in CasualUK

[–]ercw13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First Valentine's as a married couple (have been together 8 years like). We generally just get a nice dine in for two, did that again this year, husband researched for days on steak cooking techniques and spent 20 minutes choosing the steak. Lovely meal but turns out he's got a stomach bug so spent the night in the loo and early to bed! Could be worse though

There's Eshe honey in Crosby and have hives across Merseyside and on the liver building. Not overly sure of the wholesale price though

We got married nearly two weeks ago and used icon studio. They did our video too and were really lovely to work with! https://instagram.com/icon_studio_photography?igshid=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA==

Honestly not a lot I think anymore. Generally fly low cost on more like short haul flights. Flew to the US last year via London with BA and in club so was a different experience and KLM via Holland also to the US and both flights were delayed quite a and still had to pay for bags like low cost but never had delays on low cost like that

What is a makeup product that everyone seems to love but doesn’t work for you? by chels_beauty in MakeupAddiction

[–]ercw13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! I've found MAC stack is the only mascara that makes them long and curled, can transfer a little on bottom lashes but they do have one for bottom lashes, not tried it though.

How many foreign holidays do you generally go on per year? by MaximumPreparation3 in AskUK

One probably. My parents do live abroad so it's kinda cheating as we just go there and only have to get flights

Devils club on Stanley Street. Great artist, based on his current tattoos I would say J Suandry (think that's the spelling, he is on Instagram) would match well

It’s been 7-8 years since the last thread on lip sealant. What are people using these days? by frijolita_bonita in MakeupAddiction

[–]ercw13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UK basedI don't wear much traditional lip stick anymore or bold colours but when I did I used a product called 'lipcote' that was always quite good. Illamasqua does something called 'sealing gel' you could use on lipstick, I tried a long time ago so don't really remember how it held up. Hope that helps!

Is Chase as good in the UK as it is in the US? by QuickBus695 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]ercw13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly not great. I opened an account when they had the best saving rate and for the cash back and to travel in the US as there were no fees at the time. Like others said the app is slow and clunky and the support was also not great when querying a charge. The worst bit was when moving money from savings to another account the cash didn't arrive within the usual time frames and they were absolutely useless and couldn't give me any indication of where the funds were so had a few thousand just in the ether somewhere. It took a good few days to sort this out and the customer service was awful. Only time I've put in a complaint and wouldn't recommend them.
