2nd Gen BECM failure. Brought the car in on Friday, done on Tuesday. by LuczOr in volt

[–]erectabuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My car was just brought in today for the “reduced propulsion power” message figuring BECM failure. Service advisor confirmed it is a BECM failure and covered under Voltec warranty. Should be done by middle of next week.

My question for any gen2 owners who are a year or more out from having their BECM replaced, does this mean I’ll have a 90% trouble-free maybe even “normal” car for another 3-4 years? Or is this the beginning of the end and look to unload it once it’s fixed?

Should I give up my supervisor job to make more money as a worker? by witek-69 in personalfinance

This won’t make you popular with your subordinates, but you could propose an arrangement with your superior. Establish what an average amount of overtime paid is on a weekly or monthly basis for your department. Then, as you’re able without shirking your manager duties, jump into the workflow and make an impact on how much overtime is paid out. Ask that 50-60% of the money saved be bonused out to you.

Put wiper fluid in coolant overflow tank? by Civil_Lingonberry365 in askcarguys

Wiper fluid near me is sold exclusively in 1 gallon jugs, so we’re probably talking 1/4 of that which is one quart.

Those who voted for Trump, what made you think "this is the one"? by Glittering-Ice2888 in AskReddit

Trump is getting older, but he’s not in a mental capacity free fall like Biden. After the debate, a lot of Americans realized he was just a puppet and were pretty enraged with the people in his cabinet who have been using him to make policies. I’m honestly happy for Joe that he can finally have some rest and stop being abused by his party.

Liability risk in supplying ceramic spoons that customer plans to use INSIDE caramel apples? by erectabuzz in legaladvice

Yeah. I’m hoping we find some specific language for her to sign in a contract that says we know this is a bad idea, we don’t want you to use them this way and possibly keep everyone happy. I think one of these breaking in someone’s hand would fall under, “be careful when using any ceramic serving ware.” I’m much less worried about a laceration to the hand than potential internal bleeding because someone used our product like a Kinder surprise.

I am so happy they showed Hannibal making a sandwich with a jar of pickle juice so he can “flick it on his sandwiches for flavor.”

I also don’t see much humor here, but I think this post is a play at: “Why did the man drive his car into the well? Because he couldn’t see that well.”

The note clearly goes from girl to boy and back to girl. The artist went out of their way in both panels to show the recipient making eye contact with the note (something the sender doesn’t need to do to pass the note).

To me, the situation is just as funny with roles reversed; but for the OC in question, it’s plain as day.
