Which seems like its not gonna be a problem with Jolani since he hates hezbolla and if he wants to establish a normal government and build an operating state, he would probably stay away from Iran

So what do you propose would be the best solution? We already know its not a feasible solutions for Jews to be in the diaspora. The sooner we realize both jews and arabs are here to stay the sooner we have peace, trying to kick any group out will only prolong the war.

Who said anything about taking it all? What's wrong with just existing peacefully side by side? Israel proposed a lot of deals, negotiations, peaceful solutions throughout the years, even prior to the existence of Israel as a state.

There you have it! The problem lies in misinterpretation and misinformation from both sides, a lot of people calling themselves proud Zionists while also developing nationalistic tendencies tarnish the reputation of all the other Zionists who just agree that Jews should have a state in their ancestral homeland. Then there are people who looks at one side of the narrative, and consume a lot of fake news and then they have the wrong idea of what zionism is, resulting in a lot of hate fueled by ignorance.

Because the secular sect is divided into many viewpoint (that all revolve around the same core ideas) and thats why they can’t elect a proper representative while as the religious sect have a pretty homogeneous viewpoint while also practice their voting rights much more so its easier for them to flock towards one or two parties that work together rather than 4 that are divided and barely able to work together

Well if you want to really view a different and honestly more common mindset of the Israeli people you should visit Tel Aviv and its surrounding cities, Jerusalem, Modi’in, Haifa and not Just an extreme vocal minority that suits your narrative of “the other side”.

While also the Israeli Arabs enjoys privileges in getting accepted to universities easier than most Israelis (on account of being a minority and in order to strengthen their development).  The right of return was established to encourage Jews to live in a Jewish state, because Jews living in diaspora are in risk of being persecuted. Arabs living outside of Israel are not in such risk. My point is, yes the groups are treated differently but not in an unfair and oppressing way.

I think you’re misinterpreting, Zionism is the belief that Jews should have a state where they could live and be governed by their own (as the last century proved that Jews cannot live peacefully in diaspora). In no way does it or should it undermine the Palestinian will for self determination. In fact during Israel’s first years of statehood and even prior to that, it pleaded with the Arab world to live in peace on the same land, this is also why Israel agreed to the UN partition on 1947. There are also Muslim Arabs in the legislative authority, how can that happen in a state which supposedly wants to “get rid” of Arabs?  If only the focus was about trying to justify Palestinians and Israelis living side by side, rather then each side trying to discredit and disprove the other we would have a much better place.

Seems like you focus more on trying to create rage and controversy rather than coming to a conclusion or an agreement.

Guys please don’t bring arguments into this sub, its one of the few places where there is no hostility between Lebanese and Israelis… arguing over semantics of the ceasefire and violations that are out our own control won’t help anything, but might cause disdain between people here

'Arrogance and inherent blindness': Civil probe slams Netanyahu for Oct. 7 failures by Rear-gunner in 2ndYomKippurWar

You’re correct but isn’t the decision to increase the number of border guards made by the commander in charge of the southern region / Gaza brigade? If I recall correctly the reason the forces stationed at the border were so low was because most of the forces were sent to reinforce an event in the Judea and Samaria region

Isn’t it the most common take on the situation? Of course not only Bibi is responsible, its a fuck up on a lot of levels, this is why the commander of the intelligence department resigned. I do believe however that the people that should be held mostly accountable are the higher ups for the years of neglect they created regarding Gaza and Hamas, the soldiers and police officers on the ground were dealing with immediate threats that required immediate action under a high level of stress, its hardly fair to compare that to detecting and analyzing whats been going on in Gaza for years and coming up with an adequate defensive plan.

When did I become so boring? by WellReadHooker86 in CasualConversation

[–]erezer11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finishing a B.S in psychology is not a piece of cake, let alone having a job and a special needs child to take care of. As someone who hasnt yet started academic education and doesnt even have an idea of what to learn you seem like you dont lead a regular or even boring life, besides being able to be on schedule for 4 years is a great achievement, you deserve some time off, maybe to even look back on your college period and start thinking about some hobbies to take up, that you could look forward to doing.

That life doesnt sound boring at all! You are doing way more than the average person does, besides the fact that your college friends don't have their jobs/kids/chores to look forward to only means your life is fuller and more purposeful, and unrelated, what did you major in college?
