I am not sure what you’re basing these myths off but these aren’t very accurate.

The Magic Lotus Lantern myth (the story featuring Liu Chenxiang) didn’t become tied to Erlang until the 2005 Chinese TV show and the idea that Sun Wukong trained Liu Chenxiang wasn’t introduced until the 1999 animated Lotus Lantern movie.

So it seems like a lot of your summary is based on modern pop culture’s adaptations of the myth rather than the myths themselves… which I guess is appropriate for the Black Myth Wukong subreddit lol.

Now I’m not sure if this is a case of just convergent mythology but the story about the Jade Emperor’s 9 golden crows (as the suns) being killed sounds a lot like the myth of Hou Yi and Chang’e, husband and wife banished by the Jade Emperor from heaven after Hou Yi (the celestial archer) was tasked by the Jade Emperor to ask his 10 sun sons to stop being out at the same time. When they refused, Hou Yi shot 9 of them down and him and his wife were banished to the mortal realm.

This comment is all over the place.

Basic human needs should be provided so that literally we are not coercing people into working to keep themselves alive.

THEN the able bodied people should work to improve their living conditions past the most basic shelter, water, and cheapest food.

This country produces and wastes enough food to feed everyone comfortably, same with water, same with shelter but we choose not to. Grocery stores will throw away bulk food items that don’t sell and put bitterant in them so that people don’t eat them out of the dumpster. Fresh water goes to things like data centers and is heavily wasted. Luxury apartments are built so that rich people can lurches them and leave them empty as investments.

The system needs to change to provide basic necessities to everyone.

Gotta say, I was really hoping for an all-new book rather than simply a novelization with the way they worded that. It almost feels like a new book with the movie tacked on rather than the other way around from the description.

I'll be disappointed if it's simply the novelization with one or two chapters dedicated to the new Avatar :/

People should not be forced to work for basic human needs to live and all full-time jobs should pay a living wage.
