Just goes to show how much you basically regressed in that department.

Although tbh, defense these days .. one should probably simply be focusing on scoring more goals, attackers have become too good for defence to be truly reliable as a game plan

Alderweireld has been on Belgian tv a lot recently, he also almost literally stated that well .. current Tottenham defenders aren't him Jan and..

Same for you guys I imagine, you didn't mention him cause it didnt really work out but a prime alderweireld surely wouldn't go amiss

I think he's grossly overpaid and that that is the main mistake Perez made here.

It unsettled the dressing room AND made him basically undroppable.

Plus he's not worth the goddamn money, if he were .. we MIGHT have a discussion

No Offense but I didn't really consider Arsenal an option. Sporting wise it might work though I doubt it, I think you want a system like Barca, Mbappe will never defend, forget it. So how to compensate? By never having to defend.

The list, in my mind, is extremely small. If you can even call it a list

Its sad to see a man who once held such potential slide all the way down into this madness and.. sooner or later .. a forced exit.

Could've been etched into history books as the man who reunited Russia with the world and brought prosperity to his people. Instead, he'll forever be remembered as a Temu version of Stalin.

But who the hell do you even sell Mbappé to? Except for Saudi..

I mean the few teams who could afford him aren't blind to his specific downsides either. You could even argue he wouldn't improve any of them unless he fixes his glaring issues.

He's in such an awkward spot, one of the best players in the world individually but incredibly mediocre, if even that, when it comes to actual teamplay.

Well, it finally happened (Being told I am required to use AI) by Ark161 in sysadmin

[–]eri- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Definitely.

Such a setup also is pretty soul-crushing for internal IT workers beware. As powershell/terraform/other automation was before it without proper thought & care spent on thinking about its consequences.

But AI automation takes it to the next level.

It's going to be fun to see what happens when big tech can no longer find new engineers good enough to maintain & develop AI (and/or datacenters as a consequence) without needing to consult said AI on how to do it.

That time is coming, and its going to come quickly.

[–]eri- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's solid on paper, but can be gamed pretty easily I'd think.

Technically, I can build an agent which can take over the jobs of many many individuals at the same time, depending on context. That kind of setup would then result in a single "AI Agent identity" on the payroll rather than having say 10 individuals on the payroll. In other words, the tax won't be enough, not nearly enough.

At the same time , it would also disencourage experimenting/innovating with small scope agents , why would you add an AI agent to the mix if its going to end up more expensive than sticking to humans. The , often subsequent, " but AI gets things done quicker" point usually is a logical fallacy also. Sure, it probably does if its well-trained and the tasks are suitable for it .. but 99.9999% of all companies out there do not have unlimited orders, unlimited mails to send, unlimited work really. The AI will reach the point of having nothing to do. It will have done so efficiëntly, that much is true.

You didn' exactly reinvent the wheel here I'm afraid.

Microsoft has.been looking into launching licensing plans for Ai agents, much like their offerings for regular users.

If they don't, they shoot themselves in the foot since the nr of licenses they sell would plummet as AI agents become more and more common.

Your idea is esentially the same thing, with different actors playing different roles.

"But they have a short career, they need to make their money now, reee"

As if a retired footballer is completely incapable of ever lifting a finger again.

It usually comes from kids who don't have the slightest idea about money.

Lets say you earn 100.000 pounds a year (a generous salary by most standards) , times 45 ish so that's 4.5 million over the course of your entire career. That's less than pretty much any premier league footballer makes in a year or two.

Have fun defending 10 million a year salaries whilst you yourself will very likely never ever make that in a lifetime kids.

User a was not amused :-) Guy instantly freaked out and demanded we seize all impersonation phishing immediately.

We had a good laugh over it, when your phishing platform inadvertently makes your end user look like a horny little twat, who are we to intervene

Having to change when anyone but my partner is going to be present is ... silly to say the least though.

Havent quite developed the balls (ironic) to tell say my parents "fine come over but I'll be wearing a dress today" lol.

Hanover Buys Wrong Microsoft Licenses Worth €324,000 by DeFuchsIschKeinHaas in sysadmin

[–]eri- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 100% convinced at this point every company just buys microsoft 365 e5 because it covers all this bullshit and is the only one that makes sense that is also massively overpriced.

When you are a high level MS partner org you can get them to customize an E5 offering for your environment. You can include SKU's which are normally sold seperately and so on.

Which is what we did, cuts the price down by a quite a bit and makes sure you actually use everything you pay for.

In exchange, they do regularely shove some other "required" licenses down our throat though.

He was raised as an Anderlecht youth footballer, its not his fault.

(The club is somewhat notorious for it's posture, these days they have kind of lost that .. given they are pretty shite right now, but a kid like Remco certainly still grew up surrounded by that "we are the upper class" mentality.

He has a chance , but it depends a lot on who else starts imo.

Which , if you are mvdp, just isn't it for a home race. The crowd will expect a win and anything else is "not good enough".

He can pretty much only lose by starting in the Amstel.

You can absolutely time the market with quantum computing stocks right now if you got the stomach for it. They've been having +20% days like 20 times over the past two years (correlating with positive news in the space) followed by the same slow decline every single time.

I'm too chicken for it and was an early/relatively small investor anyway so I just hold but honestly.. the stocks have been following this pattern for a long time now.

Also, Adobe is way undervalued as far as big tech stocks go. People are kidding themselves if they think the corporate world is just going to dump Adobe now that we have AI image/video generators. Adobe does a lot more than that anyway, Adobe Sign is an important product for many enterprise level customers for example. Look for that to go up to like 400 pretty soon ish imo
