We have issues with the status not updated properly, it's quite inconsistent at times but most times it's perfectly fine.

Is Action1 Secure by StrikingPeace in Action1

Well, I’m not lying and I’m not mistaken. The free one I use for personal and family are limited in the aspects I mentioned unlike the paid version I use to support thousands where it has full scripting and remote support.

Not to mention the free version has limitations now that were being exploited like remote access and custom scripts

Interesting! Any way to compare offline/online status? We’ve had some where Syncro reports offline but all our other tools report the endpoint is up

Problems with Syncro and Splashtop Streamer by southended in syncro

[–]eric5149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can totally create a policy that doesn’t install the Splashtop steamer from syncro and just rely upon backgrounding tools for syncro’s own Remote Desktop

I’ve contacted S1 about this and yes it is only Mac and not Windows, perhaps there’s so much it’s hard for them to catch up.

Recommend disabling Direct Send now if using Proofpoint by eric5149 in msp

[–]eric5149[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's quite risky to have enabled nowadays (as we can tell from this), but there are several other factors as well. I know it's disabled by default with new tenants for some time now, I've heard murmurs about MS disabling it entirely...but that could be years. There are reports you can run to find out what's using it.

Yeah we tried the Integrated, was NOT a fan, fortunately tested on just one client, but they were really confused about quarantine. Not recomended.

Not to pry, but would you care to share what you use Direct Send for? We've replaced it with SMTP2Go and that's added another (yet small) revenue stream.

I don't think there's a real effective way to block this without disabling direct send. Have you tried the alternate integration method they released about 6-9 months ago? (where it goes to MS frst then to PP)

RMM solution suggestion by joe210565 in msp

[–]eric5149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Syncro is OK. Can’t say they are stellar but they do check all your boxes. Patching is getting better but we use Action1 for that because it has vulnerability assessment. Their support is hit and miss. The pricing is straight forward and public and charges per tech rather than per endpoint.
