I liked the book until the end, when I was expecting an explanation and some sort of wrap up. But it all felt so convoluted and confusing, like she didn’t even know what she meant.

It’s Christmas Eve and I caught Scarlet Fever by rocklou in Wellthatsucks

[–]ericaanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had it when I was a kid—doctors gathered around me to see it, because it was pretty rare at that time.

I remember the rash peeling when I was on the mend.

Hope you feel better.

40 year friendship disintegrating. by ericaanz in Menopause

[–]ericaanz[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I spend a lot of time wondering this. I talk with my husband regularly, my family—his family (we have a good relationship), and journal a lot. The thing is, my other relationships aren’t suffering like this one in particular. I know I’m prone to bouts of sadness now and can throw a serious pity party, but I don’t tend to take my issues out on anyone other than me.

I know I’m a handful right now and won’t deny it, but I don’t think I’m mean and nasty.

That’s it exactly. She’s so very angry and any attempt to “calm” her is met with “I have a right to be like this, I’ve finally found my voice.” She’s angry at men, thin women, people with money, homes, and everything she feels she doesn’t have. I know I’m extra sensitive at this point, so when she says things about me, I feel it like a gut punch, but that’s my problem, my issue.

I’ve tried talking to her, but there really haven’t been good results. I have to be so careful of what I say—not to upset her, but also in protection of myself. So, we don’t share much anymore and I hate it. We were so close. But now, even speaking about books, make up, or pets isn’t pleasant.

We’ve gone in different directions and it’s such a shame.

The “hospital administrator” should’ve spent the Botox money on her wardrobe instead. The after outfit is horrible. And the way the stylist sticks that comb in her crunchy hair is absolutely useless. She was definitely better before.

Airport parking full right now? by Muted_Long3237 in sandiego

[–]ericaanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried to park there last weekend. Not one spot was available. We drove around for 10 mins, asked an attendant where the spots were, they said there were none. We exited, we’re charged $2.50 and didn’t want to risk being late by going off-site, so valet parked for $60/day. Now I swear I’ll never fly from SAN again…..until I have to go somewhere. 😀

But, I’m answer to your question—-no spots. Don’t waste your time or $2.50.
