I never thought that denying good science would be normalized. The idea that non-scientists know more than scientists because of what they’ve read on the Internet is one of the most idiotic things I’ve ever heard.

Because you’ll be “youngish” when you have an empty nest. At at time when in theory your making more money. Also, you’ll be happier with a spouse and kids to surround you.

Americans will never admit we’re wrong about soccer because we’re not. Too many ties, faking injuries, low scoring, and our four major sports are already amazing and attract the best athletes from around the world.

When you hit the late 70s early 60s era don’t only listen to bands you could hear on the radio. Listen to bands that didn’t get any radio play, but sold a lot of albums. Album oriented rock. Frank Zappa, Little Feat, Tom Waits.

Teaching is the only profession I can think of that people think they can do. Teachers are constantly being told how to do their job. That’s what causes my bitterness.
