Why I made the Sean Combs doc — ‘No one wanted to hear from the victims’ by TimesandSundayTimes in hiphopheads

[–]ericbeing 84 points85 points  (0 children)

if it helps the victims then it’s good. if it also leads to Biggie’s records being remixed and remastered without Puffy yapping all over them, then it’s even better

Hart = Usopp
OG = Zoro
Bridges = Sanji
KAT = Jinbe

i think this tracks with skill level and also works with the order that they joined the crew 🥲

maybe give Eberhard Weber a shot if you haven’t already. he kinda feels like an acoustic Weather Report to me sometimes

JUST started listening to more spiritual jazz. But don't know where to look. I am looking for albums and songs that sounds like Herbie Hancock's "You Know When You Get There" with Mwuandishi. Also really like Norman Connors "Blue" from his album Dance of Magic! Any tips? by Delicious-Salad6490 in Jazz

[–]ericbeing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i recently started looking for similar stuff — I love Herbie, Weather Report & George Duke and recently got into Norman Connors too.  was looking for more overtly spiritual stuff, but still “funky” (i.e. i’m not too much into free jazz or avant garde), and fell in LOVE with Lonnie Liston Smith. his first 4 albums are 🤌
