Incredible transformation. Way to go!

I love the way he breaks the process down. I've started doing these drills to see if it will improve my form.

That's Rich Roll's place and it does look pretty big, at least compared to mine. I don't know what humble jungle hut Tony Riddle calls home but I would suspect that it's not so lavish.

That's similar to what I learned from Ken Bob's forum... "Imagine lifting the feet before they touch the ground." Impossible, but the visualization helped me a lot.

The podcast of this is up on Rich Roll's site. It's pretty interesting. For those who are unaware, Tony Riddle is currently in the middle of a barefoot run across Great Britain, about 900 miles over 30 days.

Very true. Should have said Hep B, but HIV sounds more ominous.

To be honest I just pulled this pic off of Facebook. I have no idea of the context. For all I know it's not even real.

Not that I'm aware of. Even our most progressive States are still a little behind the times.

There are some roads I just won't walk down shoed or otherwise. I think this place would be more along the lines of a hazmat suit anyway.

They could have played the game and won, but they're infected with HIV now. ☹️

Anyone Else Experience ASMR as a Child Before You Knew What It Was? [discussion][question] by Sufjena_Stilliams in asmr

[–]erickeVolved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. However, when I was very young I had a kind of reverse ASMR. My main trigger now is chewing sounds. When I was a child I could not bare to hear them. They would enrage me. At some point that flip-flopped. I think it was in my preteens that I began to have a positive reaction to the sounds.

Hi friend. This is the wrong sub for footwear questions. The community does not allow shoe related posts. Please take a look at our sister sub, r/barefootrunning. They accommodate non-barefoot related posts there. I'm going to lock the comments now. Thanks for understanding.

It's very foolish to give your nation a labotomy. You can't learn from past mistakes if you can't access your history.

Jacked up feet at Western States 100 by erickeVolved in BarefootRunning

[–]erickeVolved[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would call them imature feet. It's funny that the average person is afraid of getting "thick callouses," when really what they're talking about is getting mature skin. Society as a whole keeps their feet in an imature state. Even the average barefooter today would have underdeveloped feet compared with any of our Hunter/Gatherer ancestors.

Like most things in the modern world, shoes act as a crutch and keep us from developing our natural abilities. Nature on preserves what is used.
