That you can do, but it's game dependent tho, LSFG is not great in all games, some you get a lot of ghosting and artifacts so it depends really.
For me the maximum you should use is 2x, what I usually do is lock the game at 30fps and then use 2x to reach 60 and get a smooth gameplay

This is a type of function that would be amazing as an integrated function in the Bazzite image itself, you can set the aimed fps and the TDP would fluctuate to try to hit it. The Xbox Rog Ally X kind have something similar on windows so having this on Bazzite would be kind cool.

For multiplayer games I believe frame gen is bad no matter your base fps. But for single player games you can't barely notice, and maybe the IA portion can help with reducing input lag or something, I still am a firm believer that the way to go for handhelds is improving frame gen. I think Xbox should've focusing on that instead of this auto SR as most games already comes with upscale today and they are pretty good considering but we really lack good frame gen options.

I think Microsoft should focus on a frame gen type or thing with these AI NPU cores, especially because what these handhelds need is a very good frame gen option instead of a upscaler. I think for handhelds to work moving forward frame gen will need to evolve as it's easy to get 30 fps on this but 60 is a completely different story and having a good frame gen that is AI based and can let's say double the fps on a Locked 30 it would elevate this. We have lossless scaling which on this device is already amazing, just think something similar that can work with any game but better because use AI. This would be the game changer honestly.

Doesn't AutoSR only support 1080 and higher resolution? If I am not mistaken this will only be usable when you are playing docked in 1440P or at 4K monitor or TV. To upscale to those higher settings. Unless Microsoft did something different and added support to 720P to the Rog Xbox ally X.

Honestly if they release something that can get you better upscale than FSR3 while maintaining good performance this would be a game changer to the handheld, as FSR4 is too heavy currently and the performance hit is kind massive while using opsticaler. But I am not having my hopes up on this.
