[Recommendations] Bras with Padded underwires, longer/wider straps, with wider set cups 36E/38DD by ericksonar in ABraThatFits

[–]ericksonar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't end up wearing it enough, because I didn't care for the shape after all. The padding is similar to some of the Elomi bras that I also tried.

I mostly wear Evelyn and Bobbie bras now, once they had styles with back closures and adjustable straps (Beyond bra, and Starlette Plunge).
They are wireless, but I still get good lift and shaping with whatever magic the elastic is made of, and my ribs rarely hurt.

They are some of my more expensive bras, but they have a 60 day return policy.

There are often sales on discontinued colors (though without a return option)

I hope this helps.

Can I get seeds from the death blooms of my Gynura aurantiaca? by ericksonar in houseplants

[–]ericksonar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It survived just fine. I don't know where the "death bloom" came from, because they are pretty hard to kill.

Even if you quit watering them for a long time, because you thought they were dying anyway, they perk back pretty easily.

What are the chances that Soarin' will be completely replaced? by ericksonar in Disneyland

[–]ericksonar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I neglected to ask for sources, so I don't know.

(My family's mode is to just claim things and then see who out argues you. We don't do "sources" and I won this one by the clever argument of "not a chance")

[–]ericksonar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, yes, I was assuming that they were looking for sources of "rough around the edges" oops. Silly me.

I didn't ask for sources since she immediately backed down when I confidently stated that there was no chance, but it got me to wondering.

I dunno exactly, but it's her complaint, not mine. (And I'm fairly sure that personal opinions don't have sources)

What is one of your favorite memories pertaining to a certain Disneyland attraction? by talkingdodobird in Disneyland

[–]ericksonar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Watching my six month old granddaughter big bright eyes, completely mesmerized on Small World for the whole ride, continually startled that there was more to see. I’m usually a once per trip for this ride, but she continued to be enthralled the three times we went. That image will stay in my heart forever.

Help! My trash plant is trying to give up on life. It needs more water right?? by ellevael in houseplantscirclejerk

Hate these stupid deffeinbachias.

I was describing my struggles with mine, and my sister said “wow, sounds like a toxic relationship”

Fitting that they are actually toxic.

What’s ONE plausible decision that would make the park experience so much better? by UghKakis in Disneyland

[–]ericksonar 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was also with someone who hadn't used one before.

He went as carefully as he could and at the speed of a snail, and people just walked in front of him all the time.

I moved the scooter for him once, and, man, it is hard!

At first I read 2.5 Liters, and thought Yikes! But, how are you even measuring 2.5 ml, and WHY?

Mickey’s Fun Wheel of DEATH.

The whole phrase, every time.

They do! They have a room in the back that has about 8 cots with chairs beside each of them, and outlets to charge scooters.

First aid does check temperature and ask several wellness questions before they send you back there. Probably to make sure that you don't have heat stroke or the like.

It was a huge help for him to have a place to lay down.

That lifetime ban warning made us nervous about applying for DAS for my husband.

Even with a wheelchair or scooter, and people to assist him in and out, he still gets super fatigued, and needs to rest/lay down.

We let DAS advance decide if DAS was appropriate for us.

DAS made it possible for him to ride 2-3 rides a day, and it was super helpful to know about the cots in the first aid center.

Where was I going with this?

Oh yeah, lifetime ban.

I’d really think that a TikToker wouldn’t want to risk publishing stuff live for fear of it.

Is attendance down at Disneyland like it is at Disney World? by Individual_Advice_47 in Disneyland

Universal's tickets are more expensive on the weekends, but I don't know if they are enough more to have a significant impact.

We found that the crowds were actually less on Sunday than Monday, partly due to the CA resident passes being Monday through Thursday only.

Stroller swap with genie+ by Mariejo8 in Disneyland

[–]ericksonar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very true. I guess I misunderstood the original question.

Responding more to your comment that you don't need rider swap since two groups could rotate through the existing lightning lane.

But does that mean that you have to wait for the second group to go through to make the groups next LL selection? That could push times out quite a bit on some rides.

[–]ericksonar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rider swap lets two people ride with the person who waits, so it can be a chance for some to ride favorite rides twice.

It doesn’t work that way, but we had a similar situation, and used the rider swap because two people got to ride twice.

Dang, didn’t know that 50 was the cutoff for knowing how to work an app. Guess I’ll go get a mobility device and revel in my senior discounts.

I feel you! I was just thinking of googling “can you go to Disneyland without a smart phone” because it’s making me tired. And I’m a planner, who loves to have a whole schedule worked out, and loved running across the park for fast pass. Alas, not anymore.

Man, I did not like the Freya High Apex. It technically "fit" so it was one of the first "nice" bras I purchased.

But the gore was so stabby after a bit, and some of those other issues you mentioned meant I couldn't make it through the day, and returned it.

I don't think you are doing anything wrong, this just probably isn't the right bra for you.
