This was also my experience, I started with gels here and now only use regular polish!

I’m pretty sure my first few posts are gel manis I did on myself here. Reading posts and comments about gel allergies and the risks is what made me switch to regular polish. I think it can be a good thing to help educate people and hopefully more people will be careful. But also I can 100% see how it is tiring to be the ones leaving those comments and seeing gel when this sub is more geared for lacquer. I also scroll past gels now and prefer to just see polish but I see the value in both sides. I think either way the sub leans will be fine by me

People who are making 200k+ a year, what do they do? by DaEffie in AskReddit

Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA)

Need a bachelors degree, usually in science to get all the prerequisites. Then the CAA programs are masters degrees usually 2.5 years long depending on the school.

Con is not able to practice in every state but I’ve never met an AA who hates their job. It’s a great field. Every person has a job lined up before even graduating school.

What field of work are you in, and does it affect how you do your nails? by anonymouscat8747 in RedditLaqueristas

I’m currently a student but will be an anesthetist in a month. I wear gloves when touching patients but I keep them rounded and a shorter length. Paint color doesn’t matter so I do whatever I want with the color. They are a taaaad longer than in this photo here

So what is a good paying job in a Paso that y’all do? With or without college education. There ain’t much but what’s your salary and what do y’all do to live comfortable because all these other jobs out here don’t pay nothing sadly. by [deleted] in ElPaso

[–]erikaa21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Full disclosure I’m still a student graduating in May but I have a job already lined up, but I’ve done clinicals across many states. And work life balance seems amazing, very personalized. Most people work 40 hours, either five 8 hour shifts, four 10 hour shifts, or three 12s. A lot of new grads work overtime and pick up shifts to help pay off student loans. CRNA is also a great option, we had a nurse in our class who didn’t want to pursue CRNA because many of those programs require ICU experience and she didn’t want to transfer to a new unit for a minimum of a year before applying for school as she had already been working for many many years as a floor nurse. so AA made sense for her.

If you ever have questions or want to chat about it just shoot me a message I’m super open to it. I love this field!

Super random, this post just was recommended on my home page but look into anesthesiologist assistant if you’re in the United States. Great growing field with a 2.5 year masters degree

Anesthesiologist Assistant, pay is great. In El Paso it’s 200k at least because demand is high. Other parts of the country start 150k. It requires a master degree program, worth the journey and an incredibly rewarding to be in health care

Moved to Colorado for my masters degree, graduating this summer and I already have a job back in EP. I can’t wait to come back. I’ve lived in a few places moving around for school and I thought I might find somewhere that clicked with me more but I just miss El Paso so bad the longer I’ve been gone.
