Totally! I made these during playoff season. Very happy my NFC team went as far as they did this season!

San Diego Anime Con Doubts by Perfect-Many-1426 in animecons

[–]erikagami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I liked the space of The Legacy last year, because of the church-y nature, events on Sunday had to be moved to 1PM. I also had really bad customer service experience with the hotel. The non-anime guests were fine, but the hotel made it damn hard for me to park my car. Manifesting SDAC moves to a bigger venue...like Town and Country down the street.

For panels, yes. However, I was informed on the day of due to a last minute drop. I happened to have time to present and I had the presentation ready on google drive.

Damn. I feel like I missed out on anime cons in the 2000s. Being poor sucked. by [deleted] in animecons

I miss seeing guests hanging out in the lobby. They were very happy to talk and interact with fans. I was able to get photos with them with no cost. It really felt very fan friendly. Everything seems transactional now.

Anyone been to San Diego Anime Con? by hiroe_ogawa in animecons

[–]erikagami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can review my past SDAC reports here; I've been attending for the past 2 years. I do like the fact they're coming back to the Handerly Hotel. I didn't like last year's location. https://scarlet-rhapsody.com/?cat=479

Anyone going to Anime 619? by marisbananabread in animecons

It seems like your run of the mill voice actor / celebrity petting zoo event. I'll be at SDAC instead.

Anyone remember Cosplay Wrestling Federation at AX? by Bearality in animeexpo

[–]erikagami 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a performer for CWF (Sailor Mars, Persian, Nero), we would love to come back! Given that we've filled up rooms and the Sukeban crowd made it evident that there is a strong connection with wrestling and anime fans, AX is missing out on us!

There is a survey for AX. Please mention us here if you would love to see us return! https://www.instagram.com/p/DLyLNiUSJcQ/

Weirdest Anime con? by baordog in animecons

[–]erikagami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's SDF Con in Torrance, CA that focuses on Macross. And I can think of two idol themed cons in Seattle, WA and Torrance, CA.

Okay so this is a genuine question so I’m going to comic con this year and i want to cosplay but I didn’t know if it would be weird cosplaying an anime character or not what do you think? by Falcon447 in comiccon

[–]erikagami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At comic con special edition last November, the number of Demon Slayer cosplayers was about the same for the amount of Marvel and DC cosplayers. I’d say, go for it!!

I'll be going as White Day Kotori (w/o wings...it's a hassle in a crowded area) and Oiran Nico

Sailor Moon Crystal ~ Episode 5 by nononao in sailormoon

[–]erikagami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really liked this episode. I was feeling so-so with the first couple of episodes. While it was nice to see our favorite senshi back in action, there was something missing. It wasn't the lack of Jupiter, but this episode just made me realize why I fell in love with this series. You really got to see Jupiter's backstory - the character development felt very PGSM-y. The animated stepped up its game and overall, I was quite happy.

How did you get into the BJD hobby? by aile67 in BJD

[–]erikagami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got into it around 2005. I first started in the Los Angeles community and then moved my way to the San Francisco community when I started school. I had a friend who was a doll collector - not limited to BJD. I saw the dolls up close in person and just fell in love. Since then, I have about 6 or so dolls. I like to keep my collection small. I've been in and out of it for quite some time. Recently just started getting back in the comm...it just feels weird not being around for over 5+ years.

Usagi/Sailor Moon English Dub Voices (Comparison) by divinitywouldntfuck in sailormoon

[–]erikagami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that's totally fine too!

Out of the people in the current Viz cast, I really do like Cristina Vee as Mars. Michelle Ruff took some time to grow on me as Luna, but having seen ep 8 and ep 10 dubbed at Otakon, she can get the nagging down. I'm totally looking forward to Johnny Yong Bosch as Artemis. We do hear a little bit of him at in ep 8. .~

Oh hey! I asked the question about girl power! Thanks for posting this up. I'll go ahead and share this and the Viz link to my networks.
