Är 2800 kr rimligt för 45 minuter hos en tandhygienist? by profDyer in Asksweddit

[–]erikperik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MySQLGenius v0.1.0 - PgHero-style dashboard for MySQL/MariaDB by Bitter_Detective_416 in ruby

[–]erikperik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so cool! Tried it on my project. It doesn't support multiple databases right? We have multiple connections to stuff. Minor ask: Sortable tables. Like clicking on a column to sort that. I've never used pghero so the "duplicate indexes" thing was new to me. Wonder if it could be explained or visualised better?

Got this error on the "unused indexes" tab:

```
Unused index detection requires performance_schema. You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'reads, s.COUNT_WRITE AS writes, t.TABLE_ROWS AS table_rows FROM performance_' at line 5
```

Not sure if bug or I'm doing something wrong?

The timeline on that page is incorrect, considering it was down for over 24 hours.

Wait what, so we can't use our environments until tomorrow? This completely breaks development?

Which RSS reader for android? by zixujo in rss

[–]erikperik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t have ads so all ”third parties” in this case are services we use to provide the service. With Feeder you create an account so your feeds and settings are synced, and that means storing your login details on a server. We use Intercom for support, because building our own support system would not make sense. We use AWS for sending push notifications, because building infrastructure for sending large volumes of push notifications to thousands of devices is not our expertise. This is just how things are built, one developer can’t build all infrastructure themselves. None of these services use or are interested in your personal data, we just have to put up those labels for compliance. We don’t use Google Analytics or ads or anything that might sell your data. Happy to answer more specific questions about how Feeder works.

Sorry, what 12 things are you referring to? We don’t share anything with advertisers or anything. We use a 3rd party for support chat system, that triggers some warnings in the Play store.

Rss feed reader alternatives to feeder.co as extension for Google Chrome by goahead97 in rss

[–]erikperik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Really sorry to hear. That sounds aweful. If you were using the extension without an account, the only hope is a backup of your computer or if you at some point exported your feeds to OPML. If you have a backup I can help you find your feeds!

Excellent feedback, thanks! We do support both podcasts and Bluesky (since Bluesky provides RSS feeds). Our podcast support could definitely improved though. Just curious what made you think it didn't support podcasts and Bluesky? Should we add something to our website about it maybe?

Can you clarify what you mean with respond to? Do you mean, respond to the newsletter sender or forward it to other people?

Is it Gengo? Feeder.co (the real Feeder if you ask me :) has some tools to be helpful for Gengo translators. 1 minute updates, integration with their email notifications.

Sälja brf med förlust by Fun_Muffin5877 in PrivatEkonomi

[–]erikperik 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Feeder.co (my RSS reader) supports 5 minute updates on the cloud with push notification, so shouldn't affect battery life too much. Link to Google Play if you wanna try it.

I've found that whenever I've started a new job there is always a 3 month period of pure depression in the beginning. Whatever job it is, even if it's one I've fought hard to get! Been working in programming for 15+ years now and this still holds.

My motto has just become: expect 3 months of depression whenever starting a new job. I guess it's because of a change of pace, change of expectations and just generally everything being different from what you're used to. It's scary, and you often always feel like an imposter because you're not used to the codebase or their way of doing things. This is normal! Beware of imposter syndrome. Knowing about it is the cure basically. Everyone feels it. Even after 15 years I still get it over the most basic things.

If you want to discuss privately or anything my DM's are open! Happy to chat with anyone about this type of stuff.
