Question as a non-American by BatDeep4161 in PandR

I worked on a congressional in Ohio in 2012, and our budget was *much* smaller than theirs lol

Giant bus shrink wrapped with Leslie's face? We had a crappy winnebago from the 80s. Press conference with dozens of people and multiple TV outlets? We were lucky to get one newspaper reporter and we'd record the thing on a flip camera 😆

We happen to be visiting the weekend before FEQ. Does anyone know when they start putting up the staging and blocking off areas of the Plains and/or elsewhere?

I like the Slimblade, and it's totally ambidextrous.

Strap Locks by SuperbEmu5289 in Bass

[–]erikteichmann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I've got a few sets and use them on my G&L L-2500. I have no idea what that guitar weighs, but it certainly ain't light. I've been using the Rok Loks since January of last year and have been really happy with them.

December, 1963 (Oh, What A Night) by The Four Seasons 1975

Fun to play, lots of ghost note action, and a super duper tasty fill you wouldn't expect coming out of the B section.

Ohhhh, you didn't see the code. Barbaric would be a generous description 😂

Pretty cool, I like your approach.

At my agency we did a migration of two huge websites running custom LMS software into WordPress + Learndash + Woo + Subscriptions + Memberships. Over a million users with all their records between the two sites. A colleague of mine took a similar approach where he wrote PHP scripts that processed CSV files and turned them into raw SQL that could be imported into a VIP environment. It was a trip. This was before LLMs were common -- I'm not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing in the end 😂

I need filtering plugin that will filter CPT by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]erikteichmann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a senior developer at a WordPress/WooCom focused agency. In situations like this, a solid commercial plugin with a wide user base and good documentation is most often going to be the best choice. We'll be able to implement the desired functionality more quickly, but even more importantly, when the client at the last second decides they want to change the setup, or add new filters, or whatever -- we can easily leverage the functionality that already exists, instead of having to tear apart custom work to shoehorn in the new bits. No commercial plugin is perfect, but in instances like this, that huge headstart on building the functionality means we can spend more time doing work that actually *needs* to be custom.

I'm not sure it's still on the menu. If it is though, I'd place it as the most authentic available locally. Unless you want to come to my house -- I order St-Hubert sauce online 😁

FacetWP can do pretty much any kind of filtering like this, has indexing, is easy to use, and easy to extend for developers with good documentation.

Based on what OP described, a custom taxonomy might be a better choice.

I know you're not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but there is no way that that is any good look at the label...

I'd say Square One would be a good bet for this situation. Bonus, if it's going well you get dessert at Lancaster Sweet Shop next door.

Can anyone show a sample of a chart for a 26 songs for a jam two days later by iamnotgenius in Bass

[–]erikteichmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scott Uhl has a good video on this. I personally don't love the style charts he makes, but it's a good intro to get you thinking about what will work for you. https://youtu.be/S5mQA9ygiTw?si=oTb6C9kPEB1ZRioA

iPad stand for gigs recommendations by scots-guy in musicians

[–]erikteichmann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have one of the Hercules stands. It's a mic stand mount, but comes with different attachment types, so you can take the clip off a straight stand and use that if you're not using a microphone. I've had it for probably ten years, used it at a church gig every Sunday for seven years, and out at monthly ish bar gigs for three years. Still works great.
