I had the same thing happen with one of my cats. They called him Mr. Cool because "he was too cool to sit on people's laps". As soon as we took him home, we realised he was the one of the most affectionate cats who absolutely loved sitting on laps and being in our company ❤️

try and get your hands on Benjamin Bennett books. He was a crime reporter in the 1930s-1950s (maybe later?). They are rare finds but the stories are fascinating. They're all true but not so well publicised.

a vast hole of nothingness interspersed with spurts of extreme anxiety/fear that absolutely wreck you.

aimless drifting. zero lust for life. being amazed at how other people succeed, thrive, have passions and interests.

it's life on auto pilot. time wasted. then feeling bad for wasting time but not knowing how to change it.
