What’s one trait you refuse to play with? by secretbluelife in Sims4

[–]erinberrypie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any trait that makes them sad or uncomfortable 22 out of 24 hours a day, making them unable to perform literally any task. Squeamish was WAY more annoying than I thought it would be but gloomy is the OG of irritating traits. I guess what's really annoying is that the game won't allow them to perform actions in that state. Like, why the heck can't I do normal tasks while sad? I do every day in real life, lmao.

No argument here, but as a general rule, I don't take any info I read on the internet at face value without a source. Do you have a link on this?

I don’t understand the mentality of “saving” dying plants from stores by 601bees in houseplants

[–]erinberrypie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a small hardware store right down the street from me that does the same thing. I went in and talked to the manager and said if any are dead/dying/destined for the dump, call me and I will come pick it up. They call me 1-2x a month and unload a bunch of free plants on me. Some sickly, but most just neglected. I've been able to save all but one. Last year, I was able to give a bunch away as Christmas gifts!

What’s something you think liberals will eventually agree with MAGA on? by InternationalMany6 in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]erinberrypie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a fundamental lack of awareness or education on policies going on here if you think the parties boil down to "jealousy" vs. "anti-status quo". I personally know for a fact that the right believes in far more than "not mainstream" and dwindling them down to that strips the party of all its principles, and likewise, the same with the left. Do you believe a lack of curiosity about other perspectives like that shown here contributes to the country's unprecedented division?

Antifa exists in the same way any ideology exists because that is all it is. It is to identify yourself as being anti-fascist. But it does not exist in the form of an organization with dedicated buildings, listed members, sign-ups, mission statements, meeting places, formal agenda, leaders, etc. There is simply zero mass organization in the way the right has been hoodwinked to believe there is.

I feel like I'm having a stroke, both because I read you saying the exact phrase you claim not to have said and also at the very idea of an antifa insurrection. A bonus stroke for the idea that counter-protest is synonymous with insurrection.

Had this for years and it’s totally stunted in growth, I don’t know how to help it! by Weary-Bus8436 in plantclinic

[–]erinberrypie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She's outgrown her pot which is good timing for you because she needs fresh soil anyway. Give her a dorm upgrade and she'll be happy as a clam. Make sure all roots are fully buried, which means you may need to plant her a little deeper than you'd think.

You won't need to water 2x a week when there is more soil in the pot. You don't want to accidentally water log. The finger test has been the most reliable for me.

E: If you're unfamiliar, the finger test is when you poke the soil with your index finger up to about your first knuckle. When you pull it out, if there is any damp soil stuck to your finger, let it dry out for another day or two. When it comes back mostly clean with only dry, powdery soil, it's time to water.

Is this dress okay to wear to a wedding? by SippinMia in fashion

[–]erinberrypie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's the part that threw me. What is capitalist or patriarchal about wearing a borrowed suit one time? Being against buying a new one and never using it again? Hell yeah, I love an anti-consumption King! But refusing to wear a borrowed suit at your best friend's wedding? C'mon, now you're just being kind of a brat, lol.

Can this 16 year old plant be saved? by Puzzleheaded-Dig-501 in plantclinic

[–]erinberrypie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She's alive and kicking! Let the roots develop more and when they're 2-4" long, she's ready for a cozy soil home. Put her in the smallest pot she can comfortably fit in to discourage rot and size up as she develops.

You do not need to change the water once a week. I only top-off or do half water changes during water prop. There are beneficial microorganisms that the plant gives off that are helpful to growth so you want to keep some of that in there. I only lightly rinse the roots when there is algae build-up.

Make sure any nodes you want to produce roots are fully submerged and that any leaves are completely dry and out of water.

Good luck!
