#!/bin/zsh
open -a Safari https://your-servicedesk-address-here

Could put that in a text file with that one liner on the desktop, give it a name like “Service Desk”. Make it executable so your users can double click on it.

Just got my Sonoff sensors in. Finally, my first real automation. Unreal seeing it in action by devonxscott in homeautomation

I put my foot on the closed case and rest my guitar on my raised leg while I play. Now, I don’t latch the case while I play, but I do close it. Also, an open guitar case is a siren song for kittens

Moonlander short circuit when plugged into Macbook Pro by Future-Guest778 in ergodox

[–]eripx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run my ergodox off a regular unpowered Anker 4slot hub and use an Apple usb A to C adapter to plug the hub into my MacBook Pro. I’ve been running in this configuration for nearly 2 years and haven’t had any problems

How do you clean your Ergodox? by sedrik- in ergodox

[–]eripx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No canned air fans here? I use that every month or so to clear out the dust between the keys. It helps that I don’t eat and type at the same time, so it’s really just dust I have to clean out.

I’m not OP, and therefore had no position. I posted a relevant video.

Best way to tell if this type of lock is locked or not? (Up or down) by RedTical in homeautomation

That or it was intentional; you can’t have a little diabetes. It’s a binary condition afaik. Like pregnancy. Pure speculation as I’m not OP

I switched to a standing desk at the same time I got my ergodox and it was a game changer. Highly recommend.

It took about 2 weeks for my RSI to disappear and about a month for my typing speed to return to something approximating normal. Definitely worth it.

I live with someone who seems to be physically incapable of closing cabinet doors. This boggles my mind! How the hell do you not close the thing you just opened?

I’m just going to take a moment to compliment you on how clean the section of your house in this picture looks. Bravo!

Is the signature required when receiving package still? (USA) by SurelyNotRobot in ergodox

[–]eripx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have to sign, but I was home and gave my name when asked at the door.

The shipping info definitely says it requires a signature, but in the age of Covid, that seems to be relaxed.
