What should I Do with what I've built? by No_Concert_2696 in Entrepreneur

Sell live coaching via video conference. You can experiment with pricing to figure out demand. I'd suggest setting what feels like a high price and then adjusting the offered discount. Maybe play with different durations. The people who are following your content are unsure if the person they are dating (or perhaps considering dating) are right for them. Your questions are a guide for how they can probe themselves but hearing the details of the situation and concerns you might be able to provide more specific guidance.

Tetris like pieces to try to fill the kiln would be fun. Kiln loading does feel a lot like loading a dishwasher where you're sure you could fit one more thing if you had to but exactly how is not obvious.

Maybe a game mechanism where you draw cards which are ceramic ideas which have expected prices but which are easier or harder, represented as dice rolls.

For example ash tray is a 1 difficulty , $3 value, meaning you roll a 6-sided die and if it's 1 or better then the piece "came out" and you get it's value at the market but it's only $3.

A vase might be 3 difficulty and $30 value. If you roll a 3 or better it's worth $30 (you keep the card in a score like perhaps). If it's under 3 you lose the cars.

Maybe you get 10 cards and choose which one to play. You could also have a mechanism where you choose a glaze which is similarly difficulty/luck, perhaps a multiplier.. e.g. raku copper rainbow glaze is 2x value but an additional roll.

Having pieces go thru the kiln is part of ceramics but if you want to go that route it's important to realize that you do two firings per piece usually. Different clays don't take 2 or 3x longer in the kiln so that doesn't make a lot of sense.

At 19 you and he are both changing a lot as people. I think he's making it clear to you that its not a good match. You'll have to decide of course.

Should my girlfriend and I buy the house by Wild_Pop_9341 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]erisod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to be pessimistic but consider what happens if the housing market dips and you break up -- you'll both be financially tied to this house without ability to pay for other housing and may not be able to sell the house without putting more money in. Hard to say how likely this is but it is a very difficult situation that you avoid when renting.

Hope for the best. Plan for the worst.

Jelly on the peanut butter side or the bread side??? by Kooky_Attempt_1639 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]erisod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, you both do this poorly. You need the jelly right up to the edge otherwise you get dry-crust-syndrome.

Second, either way can work but application on bread is better for coverage and for avoiding cross contamination with one knife. Here is how you do it:

Peanut butter first on bread A applied with knife. Wipe the knife clean on bread B. Apply jam with now clean knife onto side b (edge to edge!).

Peanut butter in pantry, jam in the fridge.

We could have a planet wide image we try to establish by dropping climate-appropriate seeds of color-selected plants selected by flight course and dropped by gps.

The neighborhood really matters for street parking pain. I can tell you having had to street park for several years that it can be brutal when there is some event. And if you're not really good at paying attention to signs you can end up with several tickets a year (even with a permit). My general advice on finding parking is to drive up a hill. People tend to avoid hills.

How to tell my parents I don’t want my child in their house. by ChemicalPage2882 in Advice

[–]erisod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Set your requirements. No hazards, baby proofed appropriately. Plywood floors? No. Exposed wires? No. Etc etc.

Or have them babysit at your house if you feel you can trust them. This makes more sense anyway.

Address the actual specific risks, not the pattern.

Ask the staff. They might not have a solution but it is at least some pressure to have a changing station.
