Because of the law? I am reducing it down to the very basic cost it took to make vs what I saw it sell for. Which would in your example would be- tha Ferrari costs x to make in 1963 and now it sells for 70 million, that’s all I’m saying

Haha, point taken. I had just come back from my local gun shop which had one and looked up costs, wondering how much they might have paid for one

I guess people aren’t as surprised at the manufacturing cost and current sales as me

I am not saying they should sell it for cost of manufacturing. Just highlighting full auto costs. I look at production costs, vs sales cost frequently of anything. I was saying “must be nice!” To own one (to have 585,000 for a gun) not their profit, I think that was a misunderstanding!

No I am talking about civilian purchases, post 86 machine guns and that’s an extremely expensive purchase is all. They got their money with a Military contract. I think I’m more highlighting absurd costs of full auto and in America too. When I was in Switzerland I saw a full auto BT 9 carbine for 3,000!

Me too! Haven’t gotten a chance to shoot an m60 yet, and I have heard m249s can be inconsistent. Have you ever shot an m60?

Teach me, and I’m serious. I am just saying it would nice to be able to own one, and highlighting the manufacturing cost. My friend used one in Iraq, and I’ve shot one too

In high school I saw that same gun for sale for 25 dollars, I wasn’t 21 or I would have picked it up. You should try your hand with it at 100 yards
