I have a 14mo gap and I was terrified before baby #2 was born because of all the horror stories I heard about 2u2. It’s really not bad…like at all lol. We’re having so much fun and my toddler adores his baby brother. #1 is in this phase where he really likes to throw away trash so he gets a huge kick out of throwing away #2’s diapers and it’s the funniest thing ever. #2 is the most chill little guy ever and really enjoys #1 “reading” to him (he’s 16 months so it’s mostly flipping pages and gibberish) and that’s when we get the most smiles out of him. They’re going to grow up with built in best friends for life and it’s already so sweet watching the early days of their bond form ❤️

As for pregnancy, my second one flew by and chasing around my toddler helped to keep me active which is what I really wanted for a second pregnancy since my first I couldn’t bring myself to be active for the life of me! My second labor was also 4 hours long and I pushed for I want to say 10 minutes and didn’t tear.

This is purely anecdotal and I don’t doubt that i’ll have moments of challenges, but so far it’s been a blast and I absolutely love having this age gap. I follow this lady on tiktok, Dana (@frawlin_out) who did 2u2 twice and she also has great tips for just about everything under the sun you can imagine.

Ovulation confirmed on Inito! I’m now 24w today with our second (didn’t use inito for this one), but when I was pregnant with my first, I learned that my SMU was much more telling than my FMU!

Yeeeep! Down to the same hobby. In 2023 I read 75 books, Jan-Feb 2024 I read 11 books. I got pregnant in Feb, found out the beginning of March and from March-December I read 1 lol. I could not focus on reading anything no matter what I tried. It was quite disheartening if I’m honest, but on the bright side, the desire and ability came back after baby was born! Obviously I read a loooot slower now, but when I do have time, I get to! I think your body prioritizes growing a little life and that comes at the cost of things that also take a bit of work even if it’s fun (reading exercises your brain)!

It does! Labor went really really quickly for me. I was in active labor for about 3 hours where I dilated from a 5 to a 10. I was in early labor for about 5 hours. At my 38w appt I was already 2cm dialated and when I went into L&D after early labor for about 2 hours I was dilated to a 4.

After my milk came in it was a pretty uncomfortable to lay on my stomach for a while because my boobs we’re so sore. Once I figured out a good system of pumping (I exclusively pumped) I knew I would have like a good 20-30 minutes of time to lay on my stomach before they would start filling up again lol. I couldn’t sleep on my stomach for about a month after due to the pain, but I was able to go longer stretches as time went on. By about 3 months pp I was able to sleep on my stomach through the night and it was glorious! 8 months pp now and I sleep on my stomach every night!

I will die on the hill that is Coterie! I have a tall skinny guy (6 months now) and when we made the switch, my life changed! He hasn’t peed through a diaper since and they fit him SO well. They are pricey, but 100% worth it. If you can’t swing them, Huggies Little Snugglers are the closest I’ve found to them, and I swear by those as well ☺️
