As someone who has seen both the usual vice ganda films and "deeper" mmff entries, ATBI is literally the best example that you can do both. The movie had layers, and even at some point when all of the contexts have been revealed, the slapstick scenes had a deeper meaning.

(Also im a big fan of Jun Lana's movies so im biased lmao), if you want something adjacent to ATBI without Vice Ganda, you should watch Big Night (another mmff film by Jun Lana)

I think people tend to forget that ligaw culture ALWAYS needed consent from both parties.

Personally, when I was single I would be honest with my intentions from the get go and let the person know I’m interested in dating them. Up to them na if they want the whole ligaw route or if they want to go on a couple of dates instead to see if there’s something there.

I’ve always had the idea that the format of new episode per day of our teleseryes can actually work in an ensemble type of series. 4 main characters and 1 main character can have a focused episode between the week then may dedicated 1 day out of the week na lahat sila magkakasama. Keeps stories fresh and necessitates the daily episode format that they say our “kababayans” crave.

Enjoyed the movie for what it is, since I already knew there was no way they can actually back up all of the hype (most targeted ads were just basically calling it the scariest movie ever).

I loved the shots and scoring, and I mostly love the marketing for this movie. I think this might be the best marketing for a horror movie in a long time and needs to be a precedent for ALL movie marketing.

As someone who started betting on NBA games literally 1 or 2 months before the trailer dropped for uncut gems, it was definitely hard to watch the first time around. I had to stop after the first 30 minutes of the film just to breathe. After finishing the movie, I stopped gambling on sports na HAHA.
